The teaching on taming has two aspects: first, how the nirmāṇakāya emanates from the state of cessation; and second, how the nature of the emanation itself is shown through self-taming while abiding in its own state. Secondly, how to tame has three parts: teaching, explanation, and summary. First, the summary teaching is given by "taming in all directions." Second, the detailed explanation has four parts: taming through the body with great merit; speech, whatever is heard is dharma; speech, taming through various speeches and vehicles; mind, sometimes self, sometimes others, taming through miraculous powers and direct cognition; activity, taming through all inconceivable activities. Third, the meaning of the four taming methods is summarized by "body and activity." Secondly, the teaching on the wisdom of the tamer has two aspects: through that dharma, the distinction between the two wisdoms is taught; through wisdom, its function is taught. Thirdly, the teaching on how beings appear to be tamed has three aspects: how things appear to be tamed; how things appear to be the five uncertain perfections; how things appear to be like illusions. First, the teaching on how things appear to be tamed has three aspects: through that conduct, it is taught how things appear; through gods and humans, the taming of the higher realms is taught; through birds and lions, the taming of the lower realms is taught by taming the mind. Secondly, how things appear to be the five uncertain perfections: through this, the place is indicated by the place; the teacher is indicated by "self"; the dharma is indicated by "dharma"; the time is indicated by "time"; the retinue is indicated by "uncertain." Thirdly, the teaching on how things appear to be like illusions: through what dreams, the essence is profound, the way of speaking from the sutras; through the retinue, the appearance of emanations is continuous. Third, various emanations: appearing as inanimate objects; appearing as sentient beings; and how these two appear. First, appearing as inanimate objects has two aspects: through that self-arising, appearing as fields of merit; through food, lotus, boats, etc., appearing as objects of enjoyment through the mind. Secondly, appearing as sentient beings is taught through birth, sickness, demons, and humans. Thirdly, how these two appear is taught through emanation, discrimination, and meaning. Fourth, the teaching on how the body and activity dissolve into the dharmadhātu has four aspects: how the nirmāṇakāya dissolves into the sambhogakāya, through what is to be tamed, how it emanates, and self-taming; how the sambhogakāya dissolves into the great dharmakāya, through that one inner realization; how it dissolves subtly here, through wisdom, uṣṇīṣa, and boyish peace, and how it abides in the dharmadhātu from dissolution; how the two meanings are spontaneously accomplished, through what ceases and the true result. The title of the chapter is indicated by the perfection of qualities.

pa'o. thA ma dge ba mjug gi don. The third, the meaning of the auspicious conclusion. The third, the meaning of the auspicious conclusion. Thus, the dedication of the merit of the composition, and the origin of the composition, two things. First, regarding the dedication, there are two aspects: the explanation of the root of merit to be dedicated and the actual dedication. First, regarding the explanation of the root of merit to be dedicated, I (བདག་) explained the perfect cause for composing the treatise through the "Path (ལམ་) of Destroying (འཇིག་) the Face (ཞལ་)." After that, Latho Rang (བླ་ཐོས་རང་) confessed and reduced it. Chönyam Jiyang (ཆོས་མཉམ་ཇི་ཡང་) praised and advised the followers. Second, regarding the actual dedication, there are three points. Ge Gyal Drip Jang (དགེ་རྒྱལ་སྒྲིབ་བྱང་) dedicated it to the ultimate perfect enlightenment. Nak Dü Drang Nying (ནགས་དུས་དྲང་སྙིང) and Trulkyo Jawang (སྤྲུལ་སྐྱོ་ཅ་དབང་) dedicated it to temporary solitude. Ta Chö Namla (ལྟ་སྤྱོད་ནམ་རླབས་) dedicated it to the perfection of view and practice. Second, regarding the origin of the composition, there are four points: the treatise being composed, the prompter—the disciple, the author—the teacher, and the place of composition. Qualities. Latho (ལ་སྟོད), Sangye (སངས་རྒྱས), Phaldan (དཔལ་ལྡན), etc., are arranged in order. Thus, this extremely wonderful Dharma is a treasure trove of paths and fruits, and numerous qualities. In the field of those to be tamed, it produces the fruits of the four bodies, and is the cool nectar of Rabga's (རབ་དགའ) generosity. It is the root of the complete teachings and the omniscient lineage. Even hearing one word leads to the path of liberation, and if one understands all the meanings, one can attain enlightenment in one lifetime. Such a wonderful treatise is an unprecedented treasure. All that the Teacher Sun King (ཐུབ་པ་ཉི་མ་རྒྱལ་བ) taught, the immaculate and extremely vast Dharma, is gathered in this treatise. Such a treatise is difficult to find. Fortunate friends, please generate the power of Rabga (རབ་དགའ), and with faith, diligence, wisdom, and mindfulness, strive to listen, explain, and meditate. Thus, the two benefits will surely be accomplished naturally. Therefore, I engage in explanation, debate, and writing. Although not autonomous, the devout faith in the precious lineage, like a garland woven with the flowers of grace and the meaning of the treatise, should be placed on the crown of one's head. May this merit cause all beings to enter this immaculate Victorious tradition, ultimately perfect the conduct of enlightenment, and become the Victorious One as seen by the Victorious Ones. May I, from now until the end of space, increase the wisdom and loving heart of the sons of the Victorious Ones, and propagate the teachings of the Victorious Ones and their sons.
