Offering is no different from actually being present, all temporary wishes will be fulfilled, and ultimately one will surely attain the state of liberation from suffering. This is certain. In the Mahayana sutra, the White Lotus of Compassion, it says: If someone takes a drop of water with the tip of a hair divided into a hundred parts and offers it to the Sugata, even after countless eons have passed, the omniscient wisdom of the fully enlightened Buddha can see it and return the previous drop of water without it being diminished. Whether it is when the Buddha is present now or after the Buddha has passed into nirvana in the future, it is the same. Hearing the name of the Buddha, reciting the words "I prostrate to the Buddha," merely generating a pure mind towards the Buddha, or scattering a flower in the sky towards the Buddha, all of these are known by the omniscient wisdom of the Buddha, and will not be exhausted until nirvana. Such a vast teaching. Other sutras also say: Drawing a Buddha image on a wall or wooden board with a fingernail, even looking at the Sugata with a pure mind, these people will attain this supreme enlightenment. Also, just as children enjoy playing, even making stupas out of sand, these people will gradually see billions of Buddhas. This means that children drawing Buddha images on walls for fun, or making stupas out of sand, merely seeing these, one will gradually attain unsurpassed enlightenment, which is what the fully enlightened Buddha himself declared. Whatever is done with the Buddha as the object, such as prostrations and offerings, from the perspective of the object of focus, is called a virtuous root in accordance with liberation. Even if one does not know how to dedicate it to enlightenment with one's own mind, it is impossible for it not to ultimately become a cause for enlightenment. This is what is taught in all sutras, tantras, and pith instructions, and one should have firm faith in this. Especially for us people of the snowy land of Tibet, the deities and gurus of fortune are Avalokiteshvara and Guru Padmasambhava. As Orgyen (Padmasambhava) himself said: The guru of fortune for Tibet is Guru himself, the deity of fortune is Lord Avalokiteshvara, the Great Compassionate One. Therefore, the former snowy land of Tibet

In this snowy land, there were no footprints of the Buddha, the sacred Dharma was not propagated, and even the name of the Three Jewels was not heard. In this dark land without Dharma, the noble Avalokiteśvara, through various manifestations, arranged the auspicious circumstances for the flourishing of the Dharma. Manifesting as King Songtsen Gampo, with great compassion, he manifested the eleven-faced Avalokiteśvara, the self-arisen five deities, and through blessings, they appeared. This was the beginning of the construction of Buddha images in the snowy land of Tibet. Later, from the fifth generation of kings, the manifestation of Mañjuśrī, the Dharma-protecting King Trisong Detsen, invited the second Buddha, the Great Master of Oddiyana, and subdued all the unruly gods and demons of the Tibetan land. As a support for the body, he built the Samye Monastery, the unchanging and spontaneously accomplished temple. As a support for speech, he translated the sacred Dharma. As a support for the mind, he established the monastic community, making the Buddha's teachings like the rising sun. Considering it as a support for future devotees and for the flourishing of the Dharma, he built many representative images of Guru Rinpoche himself in the temples of border taming and re-taming, as well as in hidden practice places, and Guru Rinpoche himself consecrated them. Considering the decline of future times and the obstacles to the Dharma, he concealed twenty-five representative images and others as treasures in Tibet. Later, when the beings to be tamed in Tibet were exhausted, and he was about to go to the land of Rakshasas to subdue the Rakshasas, the goddess Mandarava asked: Those future beings who have not met you, who will light the lamp of ignorance and darkness? Likewise, to whom will the merit of generosity be accumulated? To whom will the flowers of bodily bliss be offered? Who is the supreme giver of happiness in the world? Who will dry up the ocean of suffering in samsara? Who will hold the supreme lineage of bliss and emptiness? Born from the lotus stem, white with a reddish hue, she spoke, adorned with the encouragement of auspicious names. She asked five essential questions. Guru Rinpoche replied: Listen, O beautiful woman with the form of a goddess. For those future beings who have not met me, the lamp of ignorance and darkness will be lit by the Buddha image. Building the representative image of Padmasambhava as an object of offering, it is meaningful in this life and the next, establishing the victory banner of the Dharma. Generate longing and devotion towards it.
