A Treatise on the Way to Show Respect to the Body, Speech, and Mind Supports, which are the Main Representatives of the Second Buddha of Oddiyana, called "The Nectar Medicine of the Excellent Path." Namo Pema Karaya. (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) The Vajra of Speech of all Buddhas, Infinite Light, Appearing as the form of marks and signs in the Lotus Lake of Sindhu, The sole protector of those with hair, the treasure of compassion, Bless me, Vajradhara of Oddiyana. After a brief introduction with praise and offerings, what is to be discussed here is: In general, our teacher, the master of skillful means and great compassion, the perfectly enlightened Buddha himself. In the state of Dharmakaya, having fully awakened as the essence of the ocean of body and wisdom, he manifested the immeasurable forms of enjoyment and body in the appearance of those who are to be tamed, and then accepted the disciples of the one great vehicle. In the state of Nirmanakaya, through the immeasurable play of the incarnations of craftsmanship and supreme birth, he led countless pure and impure disciples to the three enlightenments through the gate of taming whatever is appropriate for each. First, because the disciples who abide on the path have fewer obscurations, the supreme incarnation appears to them as the essence of signs and marks, and they understand that he teaches the Dharma with the voice of Brahma, thus ensuring that they enter the path to enlightenment. In the appearance of those disciples whose lineage is inferior to that and whose obscurations are greater, the body of the Buddha, the scriptures of speech, the qualities and activities, appear as virtuous friends, thus benefiting sentient beings. As it is said in the Root Tantra of Manjushri: "He emanates many forms there, and does things that benefit beings by connecting them to virtue." And as it is said in the Avatamsaka Sutra: "When the end of the five hundred comes, I will appear in the form of letters. You should think of them as me, and then respect them." And as it is said in the Nirvana Sutra: "Do not grieve."

Now, Kundgawo (Ananda). Do not lament, Kundgawo (Ananda). I will, in the time of the degenerate age, emanate as a virtuous friend, to benefit you and other beings. Therefore, the previous supreme emanation body, appearing as Shakyamuni Buddha, and the present emanation body of craftsmanship, appearing as Buddha images, these two are merely different appearances due to the purity and impurity of the beings to be tamed, but their essence is the same. There is no difference in the field for accumulating merit. As it is said in the Sutra: "Offering to me now and offering to Buddha images in the future, the merit is the same, and the ripening is the same. There is no difference between these two." Regarding this, some with wrong views think, "Since Buddha images depend on materials like clay, gold, and silver, and rely on the skill of craftsmen, how can they be the actual body of the Buddha?" It is the same principle. The emanation body of the Buddha, Shakyamuni, the embodiment of compassion, whose body is adorned with marks and signs, also appears to arise in the perception of beings to be tamed, dependent on the causes of father and mother. The father is King Shuddhodana, and the mother is Queen Maya, as is widely known. But in the ultimate sense, the Buddha does not have a body that is inherently established. As it is said in the Noble Golden Light Sutra: "If the body has no bones and blood, how can there be relics?" And as it is said in the Diamond Cutter Sutra: "Those who see me in form, those who seek me in sound, those people walk a false path, and cannot see the Tathagata." Therefore, the current Buddha images also appear to arise from causes and conditions such as craftsmen, but this is only in the minds of the beings to be tamed. In reality, the body, speech, and mind supports of the Buddha are natural manifestations arising from the compassion and aspiration of the Buddha, and the combined karma and fortune of the beings to be tamed. As it is said in the Tantra: "The body, speech, and mind supports of the Sugata do not exist when the teachings decline, and are not found among non-Buddhists and barbarians. Therefore, Buddha images are emanations." For these reasons, now, in this time when the five degenerations are occurring and various worldly declines are manifesting, making prostrations, circumambulations, and offerings without mixing with negativity to the temples and the supports of body, speech, and mind in one's vicinity, will
