From the union of Uma (female deity) and the hearth, it reveals the illusory body and clear light. The key point is that the Khaṭvāṅga (staff) symbolizes the bliss that burns and drips of bliss-emptiness (sukha-śūnyatā). Since the father tantra (pitṛ-tantra) alone does not have a Khaṭvāṅga, the Khaṭvāṅga symbolizes the aspect of bliss-emptiness spoken of in Cakrasaṃvara. The key point is that Vajrabhairava's own unique characteristics that others do not have in common are: the hearth, the threatening finger, and the insertion into the śiśna-kāṣṭha (lingam). Among them, the hearth symbolizes wisdom that is greater than other wisdoms. The threatening finger commands the deities who have transcended the world: 'Listen!', which symbolizes that I have the ultimate key to both the father and mother tantras (mātṛ-tantra) that other tantras do not have. If you threaten worldly and transworldly deities, what need is there to mention destroying the harms of the ten directions, such as above and below the world? The insertion of the śiśna-kāṣṭha symbolizes that those who have committed the ten non-virtuous deeds, abandonment of Dharma, and heinous crimes such as the five immediate actions, will be forcibly promoted to Buddhahood. This is not the same meaning as the śiśna-kāṣṭha of the charnel ground (śmaśāna), the charnel ground's śiśna-kāṣṭha is a corpse, but this is a person. The key point is that the Lord is the father of all victors, and all those who are going to become Buddhas rely on the Lord to become Buddhas, which is very important. In particular, the Lord gradually manifests as the three wrathful forms of Raktayamāri, Kṛṣṇayamāri, and Vajrabhairava. In both the causal and resultant stages, the Lord's true face appears, so the Lord will take care of them, and their wisdom will be even greater than before. Furthermore, the two horns of this deity fully demonstrate the state of the two joys (dvayānanda), how to generate the two paths of method and wisdom in the continuum, and how to obtain the fruit of the two bodies (dvikāya) through them. There are also many Dharma protectors (dharmapāla) who eliminate obstacles and accomplish favorable conditions in this way, and many particularly important and blessed Dharma protectors are spoken of in the scriptures and treatises. But as mentioned above, in order to achieve swift accomplishment, it is necessary to have one that is in accordance with the three levels of spiritual capacity (tri-pudgala-mārga). Among them, the idea of the small spiritual capacity is: because you will not stay in this world for a long time, you must think about the impermanence of death, the results of karma, and the faults of the three lower realms, so you must generate refuge and precepts in the continuum that will save you from these. In order to generate these in the continuum, you must rely on Chosgyal (Dharmaraja), because he is the Lord of Death and the witness of good and evil, and he is skilled at punishing sinners.

Is the controller of karma, or a mirror that clearly reflects cause and effect. Acts according to Dharma, distinguishing between good and evil. Because he acts according to Dharma, he is called Dharma King; because he follows the karma of good and evil, he is called Yama, Lord of Karma. Therefore, these Dharma teachings for a person of small capacity are the root of the three paths. In order to generate these in one's mindstream, one should rely on the Dharma King. The thought of a person of middling capacity is: not only for the sake of happiness in the next life, but also seeing all of samsara as a pit of fire, desiring to be separated from it, seeking liberation, having the mind of renunciation. Seeing all of samsara as meaningless, becoming weary of it, generating the mind of renunciation is the main content of the training in ethics, and these two have the same meaning. Therefore, one must rely on the Great King Namtösé (Sanskrit: Vaiśravaṇa), because he protects the Vinaya Pitaka among the three pitakas, and the training in ethics among the three trainings. The thought of a person of great capacity is: not being satisfied with merely liberating oneself from samsara, but generating the mind of enlightenment, desiring to liberate all sentient beings who have been one's mothers from the great ocean of suffering of samsara. In order to generate this in one's mindstream, one should rely on the emanation of Avalokiteśvara, the Swift-Acting Wisdom Protector Six-Armed Mahakala. Furthermore, in order to generate in one's mindstream the cause for the resultant Form Body and Dharma Body, namely the two, method and wisdom, in order to generate method or the mind of enlightenment in one's mindstream, one must rely on the Wisdom Protector Six-Armed Mahakala, because he is a Dharma protector with compassion. In order to generate wisdom and pure view in one's mindstream, one must rely on Yama, the Lord of Dharma, because he is the Dharma protector of wisdom, and is the command of the venerable Manjushri. A lama who teaches the path to completion in this way cannot be satisfied with merely finding one-sided qualities. One must have received the three vows and be free from their respective faults and defilements; be skilled in the three pitakas and possess the three trainings that they explain; be skilled in the four tantras and have completely perfected the four empowerments, thereby making one's mindstream a suitable vessel for the generation and completion stages, practice the two profound paths, and having generated experience, then teach others with compassion. In short, one must rely on a lama who teaches the uncommon profound path that manifests the state of Vajradhara even more quickly than quickly attaining it, without any perversion, with both intention and action. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
