It is also explained as the white 'Dog Kar'. Clearly visualize the eight petals, and in the navel chakra, visualize the blue Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) syllable upside down. Focus mainly on the short A (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A) in the center of the petals, and slightly on the other three letters. When practicing, think that these knots are untied or loosened, and visualize these letters within them. For the four vowels: A (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A), I (藏文:ཨི,梵文天城体:इ,梵文罗马拟音:i,汉语字面意思:I), U (藏文:ཨུ,梵文天城体:उ,梵文罗马拟音:u,汉语字面意思:U), E (藏文:ཨེ,梵文天城体:ए,梵文罗马拟音:e,汉语字面意思:E), and the four boundaries: Ya (藏文:ཡ,梵文天城体:य,梵文罗马拟音:ya,汉语字面意思:Ya), Ra (藏文:ར,梵文天城体:र,梵文罗马拟音:ra,汉语字面意思:Ra), La (藏文:ལ,梵文天城体:ल,梵文罗马拟音:la,汉语字面意思:La), Va (藏文:ཝ,梵文天城体:व,梵文罗马拟音:va,汉语字面意思:Va), these four are adorned with Bindu and Nada as previously explained. The color of the letters and petals is blue. The navel chakra petals face upwards, and the heart chakra petals face downwards. In the center of the throat chakra, visualize the red Oṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओं,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:Oṃ) syllable on the moon, facing upwards, and clearly visualize sixteen red upward-facing petals. In the four directions and four corners, alternately place eight longer red letters. In the center of the crown chakra, visualize the white Haṃ (藏文:ཧཾ,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:Haṃ) syllable on the moon, facing downwards, and clearly visualize thirty-two various colored petals around it. Starting from the eastern petal, clockwise, beginning with the A (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A) syllable, alternately place sixteen white vowel letters. The Bindu and Nada drip like light beams, which is the same for all letters, and the crown chakra petals face downwards. Meditating in this way is the reason for the burning of gTum-mo: the meaning represented by the letters is Bodhicitta and prana, and the ends of the seventy-two thousand channels gather in the prana and Bodhicitta, gathering in the petals described earlier. Prana gathers following the placement of thoughts, so the gathering of prana has a necessity different from other situations. Focusing on the burning of fire from the beginning is only one aspect of gTum-mo. Practicing the generation stage in four sessions in this way, if you cannot clearly visualize all the petals and letters, then only clearly visualize the four letters of the navel chakra and focus on that. After practicing in this way, when the clear appearance of the letters arises, visualize the short A (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A) syllable of the emanation wheel burning like a needle, straight and unwavering, rising upwards from the central channel, and visualize the Haṃ (藏文:ཧཾ,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:Haṃ) syllable of the crown chakra melting, entering the burning petals, and the sixteen vowel letters placed earlier melting, merging into one with the melting Haṃ (藏文:ཧཾ,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:Haṃ) syllable, and then going down. The Oṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओं,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:Oṃ) syllable of the throat chakra and the karma prana at the triple junction are activated, also causing the fire of the navel chakra to burn, merging into one. The fire enters the petals, and the letters burn. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

English

Starting from melting, it merges with the syllable Om Move this globule downwards, merging with the syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) at the heart center, from which a fire blazes, melting all the letters within the petals and merging with the syllable Hūṃ. As that melts, it dissolves into the A (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) at the navel center. From that, the fire blazes even more, melting the letters of the eight sections within the petals and dissolving into the syllable Aṃ (藏文:ཨཾ,梵文天城体:अं,梵文罗马拟音:aṃ,汉语字面意思:阿姆). Through melting, the bindu of bodhicitta becomes as white and shimmering as crystal, with a reddish hue, clear as a mustard seed, and then meditate on it with one-pointed focus. Furthermore, there is a method of entering into it from the beginning, and a method of stabilizing the mind on the bindu and then proceeding. When thinking of the awareness entering into it, maintain one-pointed focus, and do not act as if diverting the awareness from one side to the object. At this time, do not merely aim to find the location, but rather to ignite the tummo and achieve the coemergent bliss. Therefore, meditate until an experience arises where the object and awareness seem to merge into one, and then in the center of that bindu, visualize a red flame burning like a candle, with a hot touch, as thin as a needle, and about four fingers long, and maintain even focus with one-pointed concentration. Meditating in this way for a long time will cause the syllable Haṃ (藏文:ཧཾ,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:杭) at the crown to melt and transform into bliss. 'The lines of light are extremely comfortable, yet they become cool.' The meaning of this statement is explained by teachers such as Abhayang and Shakya Rakshita. When it is slightly stable, focus on the tiny flame rising from the navel center to the crown, visualizing the flame melting the bodhicitta at the crown, and then descending in order through the chakras, dissolving into the bindu at the center of the navel chakra, and then again hold the mind on the previous bindu with the flame. When it is stable, visualize the upward-moving flame gradually becoming thicker, and the downward-moving bindu also gradually becoming thicker. Just as a single lamp can illuminate an entire room, when the flame from the navel center reaches the center of each chakra, visualize its light illuminating all the knots of the channels. Umāpati and others explain 'cool' as generating bliss, so it is not that the previous touch was hot and later became cold, but as stated in 'The Song of Obtaining Spring': 'Through contentment, it abides through peaceful absorption'. In such a case, merely generating bliss is not considered coemergent bliss, but rather one must distinguish between the coemergent bliss of the empowerment period, the coemergent bliss of the path period, and the coemergent bliss of the result period. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
