Just as one tries to calm the waves of water, the more effort one makes, the more they increase; similarly, even if one relies on antidotes to counteract conceptual thoughts, the waves of pure awareness surge even more. When one leaves it to its own accord, just like that, the waves of water naturally subside. Likewise, if one knows how to maintain relaxation effortlessly, the waves of conceptual thought naturally dissolve. The dissolution of conceptual thought into the expanse is quiescence (藏文:ཞི་གནས་); the cutting through of conceptual attachments is insight (藏文:ལྷག་མཐོང་); the merging of appearance and mind without separation is the path of union (藏文:ཟུང་འཇུག་), like a glass vessel filled with water. In this expanse of primordial purity and spontaneous presence, even the imprints of defilements cannot be removed, nor can the imprints of non-conceptual antidotes be created. Therefore, what should one meditate on as an antidote? When one abides in the unborn expanse of one's own mind, without seeing any objects to be abandoned or adopted, without a meditator or something to be meditated upon, at that time, what is to be abandoned is self-liberated, and the antidote arises naturally. In the beginning, like a child, thoughts surge like a rushing river; in the middle, like a noble one, thoughts flow slowly like the Ganges; in the end, like the depths of the ocean, unwavering, that is the path of omniscience. The stages of the path. Bliss and emptiness inseparable is the Great Seal (Mahamudra); pervading space, like space, inexpressible, is the Dharmakaya; qualities spontaneously present, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, is the mind that fulfills all needs and desires, the king of power. Through the power of aspiration, in pure realms, the Sambhogakaya adorned with a hundred merits manifests; in impure realms of samsara, as long as samsara exists, the Nirmanakaya manifests according to the disposition of each being. Strength, fearlessness, retention, eloquence, and so forth, becoming the basis of an infinite collection of qualities. According to the realms and thoughts of beings, as long as samsara exists, activity naturally unfolds. Just as the sun radiates light without conceptualization, dispelling all darkness in the world; similarly, the omniscient one, without conceptual thought, dispels the darkness in the minds of beings with the light of the sacred Dharma. Even the stupa of Garuda, though without mind, does not neglect the work of pacifying poisons and the like. Similarly, the omniscient one, though without contrivance, engages in benefiting beings to be tamed through the power of aspiration. The sun and moon may fall, and the tides of the ocean may deviate from their seasons, but whenever, wherever, and in whatever way beings are to be tamed, the Buddha will not miss the opportunity. The stage of the fruit is complete. *The Vajra Song of Mahamudra*, which clearly explains the principles of the base, path, and fruit of the supreme Great Vehicle, was composed by the Dharma-speaking monk, Youthful Intelligence. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May auspiciousness increase! The Vajra Song of View, Meditation, Conduct, and Result, etc. The Vajra Song of View, Meditation, Conduct, and Result. Namo Guruve! In the city of the three realms (desire realm, form realm, formless realm) like a Gandharva (a type of celestial musician), there is a person of illusion without any attachment. The view that abandons permanence and annihilation is blissful, The conduct without affirmation and negation is blissful, The meditation without effort and striving is blissful, The result without hope and fear is blissful. The view that abandons permanence and annihilation is the awareness of dependent origination's own nature. The conduct without affirmation and negation is the awareness of acceptance and rejection's own nature. The meditation without effort and striving is the awareness of abandonment and cultivation's own nature. The result without hope and fear is the awareness of samsara and nirvana's own nature. For a craftsman who knows nothing, looking at the drawings painted in the sky, hundreds of blind people marvel at it for eons! Demolish those ranks arranged without any connection, and bind the craftsman of wisdom. Do not show the unsewn wide brocade to children. It would be excellent to hear the sound of the expanse of the sky and the illusory person, and the three sounds of the echo of the rocks. This Vajra Song was composed by the young monk Lodrö (Intelligence). Auspicious! The Vajra Song of View, Meditation, Conduct, and Result. Namo Guru! Whatever the views, meditations, and conducts of others may be, My view, meditation, conduct, and the nature of the result are like this: The view that clings to what is to be refuted, and the view that clings to what is to be established as being free from extremes, The view that affirms and negates binds the viewer; the view without affirmation and negation is precious. The doubt that arises from conceptual thought, and the hope for non-conceptual arising, The meditation with hope and fear binds the meditator; the meditation without hope and fear is precious. Clinging to accepting the ten virtues, and clinging to abandoning non-virtues, The conduct of accepting and rejecting binds the practitioner; the conduct without acceptance and rejection is precious. Wanting to attain qualities, and wanting to abandon faults, The result of abandoning and attaining binds the attainer; the result without abandoning and attaining is precious. This was composed by the Shakya monk, Zhonnu Lodro. May this also bring vast benefits to the precious teachings and many sentient beings! The Treatise Called 'Establishing Other-Elimination' Homage to Bhagavan (The Blessed One) Lord of Speech! Eliminating the evil tenets established by others, becoming the cause of one's own entity being distinct from others, Homage to the one who teaches other-elimination! I will classify the meaning of establishing other-elimination according to its meaning. Since things exist without being mixed, one must eliminate the tenets established by others. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
