This is called 'attaining perfection'. The summarized meaning of this section is twofold: first, it advises abandoning actions by abandoning the Dharma; second, it reveals the characteristics of the Dharma-related actions that should be abandoned. The first part, from 'sentient beings' to 'not falling'. The second part is divided into a general statement and a detailed explanation. The general statement is further divided into directly and briefly pointing out the abandonment of the Dharma, and explaining that for this reason, the other two Jewels should also be abandoned. These are also arranged in order, from 'thereafter' to 'abandoning the Dharma', and from 'whoever abandons the Dharma' to 'speaking ill'. In the detailed explanation, one should understand the essence of abandoning the Dharma and its consequences—the faults—through these two aspects. The first part is further divided into having wrong views about the Dharma to be taught and having wrong views about the person who teaches it. Among them, for the object of knowledge, one should distinguish between reasonable and unreasonable; for the realm to enter—the vehicle—one should distinguish between superior and inferior; for the practice to be learned, one should distinguish between good and bad. These three are also arranged in order, namely 'this is unreasonable', 'this is for the Bodhisattvas', and 'this is the Bodhisattvas' training'. Regarding having wrong views about the person who teaches, it is further divided into slandering those who speak the Dharma truthfully out of jealousy, and praising those who are untaught out of greed for gain and honor. The first part is further divided into speaking of the faults of the Dharma speaker, which is Dharma abandonment related to the listener; and wrongly arguing about the Dharma to be taught, which is Dharma abandonment related to the speaker; and showing that the truthful Dharma speaker is blessed by the Buddha. The first part is further divided into accusations related to pride, accusations related to the Dharma speaker personally, and accusations related to the words spoken. The first part, such as 'having pride', 'no Buddha appears', and 'obtaining Dharani'. The second part, from 'the Dharma speaker's behavior is close' to 'being discussed because of broken behavior and discipline'. The third part, from 'showing the Dharma as non-Dharma', and 'not understanding because of pride' to 'verses and verses'. Wrongly arguing about the Dharma to be taught, Dharma abandonment related to the speaker, such as 'interested in meaning' to 'this is reasonable' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the section about 'Lineage'. 2-1082 Regarding the description of the correct Dharma being blessed by the Buddha, it starts from 'Jampal (name of Manjushri)! The Shravakas...' and ends with '...they will also find fault'. For those who have not studied the Dharma, praising due to the power of gain and respect, it starts from 'For the sake of gain...' and ends with '...they will abandon the Dharma'. The negative consequences are as follows: 'Falling into the great evil realms...' etc. Regarding the meaning of the words, there are two types: general meaning and specific meaning. First, what is the Dharma that should be abandoned? Who is the person who abandons it? What is the cause of abandoning it? How to abandon it? What are the negative consequences of abandoning it? These should be understood. First, in the 'Uttaratantra Shastra': 'Whatever is meaningfully connected to the Dharma, removes afflictions from the three realms, and shows the benefits of peace, that is the speech of the Sage.' All the teachings of the Sugata (Buddha) with such characteristics, and 'Whatever is spoken by those who are controlled by the Buddha's teachings alone, without distracted minds, and is in accordance with the path to liberation, should also be accepted like the Sage's teachings.' Pure commentaries with such characteristics. 2-1083 Secondly, in the 'Ornament for Clear Realization': 'Without a noble lineage, with bad friends, without accumulating past merits, without training wisdom, such a person will be afraid of the Dharma and will fall from this great meaning.' As it is said, for the profound Dharma, not possessing the three favorable conditions related to one's own mind-stream, such as lineage, and being completely controlled by sinful friends who abandon the Dharma, which are related to others' mind-streams. Thirdly, in the 'Uttaratantra Shastra': 'Due to afflictions, they slander the noble ones, therefore despise the Dharma spoken by them, all these are caused by attachment.' And 'Due to low intelligence, due to lack of good intentions, due to relying on wrong pride, due to being obscured by the poverty of Dharma, due to clinging to the literal meaning, due to greed for gain, due to being dominated by views, due to relying on those who slander the Dharma, due to clinging to one's own views, due to lack of faith, even Arhats will abandon the Dharma.' As it is said. Fourthly, they will say: 'This is not the Dharma, this is not the Vinaya, this is not the Buddha's teaching.' Or as it is said in the chapter of the Sutra Pitaka (referring to the Vinaya Sutra). Fifthly, in the 'Uttaratantra Shastra': 'Just as the profound Dharma declines, wise people consider it like fire, poisonous snakes...' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
