Auspiciousness to the neck, the precious vase swirling with jewels! Auspiciousness to the hands, the supreme wish-fulfilling jewel of qualities! Auspiciousness to the feet, possessing the wheel of activity and power! The eight auspicious substances, the supreme essence of perfect accomplishment! Whatever auspiciousness of the eight supreme substances may be, May it bestow auspiciousness upon us all here and now! Thus, the Bhagavan spoke, and the assembly endowed with auspiciousness, together with gods, humans, and asuras, rejoiced in the words of the Bhagavan and praised the Tathagata. At that time, Manjushri, transformed into a youth, asked the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, how should the ritual of this sutra be performed? How should its ritual be done?" The Bhagavan replied: "Manjushri, the ritual of this is to build a palace for the Three Jewels, to build temples, to build pavilions, to build stupas, to build vases, and to consecrate relics, scriptures, and texts. It can also be used for laying the foundation of towns, building new houses, the birth of children, giving and receiving brides, funerals, cremations, burials, selecting burial grounds, and averting inauspiciousness and bad omens. 'Transformation' here refers to offering pure and delicious food, or five grains such as barley, rice, sesame, etc., or fruits, grain essence, honey, molasses, etc. Its benefit is that all inauspiciousness will be completely pacified, and in this life, one will be endowed with all auspiciousness and ultimately attain the unsurpassed fruit." Thus the Bhagavan spoke. Auspiciousness of the body arises.
