I confess and repent, together with all sentient beings, all the sins of speaking unpleasant words to the Three Jewels, thinking badly, abandoning, harming, causing to do, and rejoicing in what has been done. Driven by attachment and craving, I steal and plunder the property of the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, cause others to steal and plunder, and rejoice in all the sins of stealing and plundering, without exception, I and all sentient beings confess and separately repent. Due to attachment to body, life, and possessions, I have killed sentient beings, stolen the wealth of others, plundered, defiled pure conduct, lied, slandered, spoken harsh words, spoken coarsely, been greedy, harbored malice, held wrong views, and all the paths of the ten non-virtuous actions, done by myself, caused to be done, and rejoiced in what has been done, all those sins, I and all sentient beings confess and repent. Driven by karma and afflictions, the five inexpiable sins, killing the father, killing the mother, killing an Arhat, causing dissension in the Sangha, drawing blood from the body of the Tathagata with malicious intent, what we have done, caused to be done, and rejoiced in what has been done, all those sins, I and all sentient beings confess and repent without exception. Through the power of delusion, and whatever sins have been committed through the doors of body, speech, and mind, whatever evil has been spoken, whatever evil has been thought, and whatever sins there may be; and by whatever non-virtuous actions that obscure birth in higher realms, causing birth in lower realms, and obscuring liberation and birth in higher realms, causing wandering in the three realms and three lower realms, all those sins I have committed and accumulated, killing and so forth, all of that I confess and repent. I confess and repent all the sins of myself and others. May they be completely purified and cleansed! May all the sufferings of sentient beings in all realms of the world, the cutting, chopping, cooking, frightening, cold, and obscuration, and so forth, all be forever cut off! May all the sufferings of the pretas, hunger and thirst, all be forever cut off! May all the sufferings of the animal realm, the afflictions of killing and exploitation, and so forth, all be forever cut off! May the eight unfree states be forever cut off! May I and all sentient beings never be separated from listening to the Dharma in all lifetimes, and may I receive, hold, write, read, fully understand, and teach others without error.
