Please liberate me from such things! Grant me fortune! Mighty one, I am exhausted by suffering! I offer deeply! Abiding in you, may I obtain peace and happiness in this life and in future lives! Having spoken thus, the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha, from an ordinary form to the form of a maiden, sits before those sentient beings and breathes upon them. He liberates those who fear anything. If a certain prince thinks of obtaining the great empowerment, if he recites and prostrates to the name of the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha, makes offerings and services, etc., the great position of a Brahmin, and the great position of a householder, and the great position of a craftsman, and the great position of learning, and the great position of meditation, and whatever great position one desires, if they want to obtain those, if they hear the name of the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha and prostrate, after bathing and putting on clean clothes, in the early morning, taking refuge in the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha, they should pray and recite thus: Akashagarbha, you who possess great compassion, please grant me a share of fortune! Please fulfill all my thoughts and wishes, and wishes like a wish-fulfilling jewel! Whatever I think in my heart, whatever I pray for, please accomplish it with great compassion! After saying this, the Bodhisattva Akashagarbha, with his pure and immaculate, extraordinary divine ear, hears that voice, and will teach those beings in a way that is appropriate to each, and will also show them the corresponding methods. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva Akashagarbha is thus endowed with the Dharma of skillful means and virtues. He possesses wisdom like a great ocean. Noble son, the drops of water spewed out by the great whales in the ocean, perhaps someone can measure. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva Akashagarbha is skilled in means and wisdom, and the extent to which he matures beings through means cannot be measured. Noble son, the measure of all the infinite and boundless space of the ten directions can be measured by someone, but the various forms that the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Akashagarbha manifests in order to ripen sentient beings cannot be measured. In order to ripen sentient beings, sometimes he manifests as the form of a Buddha. Sometimes he manifests as the form of a Brahmin. He transforms into whatever form can tame sentient beings.
