What are the benefits of these? Camphor extinguishes the spreading fever like a hailstorm, eradicates chronic and persistent fevers. White sandalwood alleviates heat disorders of the lungs and heart, red sandalwood alleviates blood heat. Agarwood alleviates heat in the heart and life force. Saffron alleviates epidemics, toxins, liver heat, and organ heat. Nard alleviates all lung diseases and reduces wound fever. Saffron alleviates all liver diseases and constricts the pulse. Cardamom alleviates all kidney diseases and coldness. Nutmeg subdues earth winds and alleviates heart diseases. Lychee alleviates diseases of the life-force channels and cold winds. Amomum subulatum alleviates coldness in the stomach and spleen. Musk alleviates poisons, worms, and inflammation of the kidneys and liver. Bear bile constricts the pulse, cuts off putrefaction, and promotes flesh growth. Blue poppy alleviates all heat in the lungs and liver. Mesua ferrea and lotus stamen alleviate heat in the lungs, liver, and heart. White cumin alleviates lung heat, black cumin alleviates liver coldness. Radish alleviates stomach cold diseases. Rubia cordifolia alleviates skin diseases and edema. Thalictrum and thunderstone are also the same. Golden lotus alleviates organ heat and bile heat. Physalis alkekengi drains bile upwards. Podophyllum hexandrum purges bile and stops hot diarrhea. Grapes alleviate lung diseases and purify heat. Ferula assa-foetida alleviates phlegm and heat in the stomach. Quince clears the lungs, stops bleeding, and reduces phlegm. Croton tiglium alleviates phlegm and heat. Long pepper alleviates all cold diseases. Ginger increases body heat, promotes food digestion, and subdues phlegm and wind. Turmeric alleviates phlegm and wind, and dissolves blood clots. Citraka increases strength and fire heat like fire, and alleviates hemorrhoids, anal fistulas, parasitic diseases, and leprosy. Gentianaceae alleviates cold wind in the stomach and liver. Sugar increases the fire heat of the stomach. Aucklandia lappa kills worms, alleviates cold diseases and heart wind. Bidanga kills worms and increases fire heat. Marutze alleviates parasitic diseases. Gokshura kills worms, cuts bones, and alleviates stomach fever diseases. Frankincense purifies and dries edema. Guggul subdues earth demons, boils, and inflammation. Gypsum treats divine bone water.
