In the east, Phya-ba had logic; in the south, rGya-mChims-ru-ba had Maitreya's teachings; in the west, Rin-tshul had the Abhidharma; in the north, Yon-tan-shes-rab taught the Vinaya. The disciples in their lineages, appearing in succession like the sky covering the earth, established many teaching monasteries, and thus the Tibetan region became widely known as the source of learning, Samye Neu-thog. The disciples of Gangpa She'u and Khyunri were To-lung Gya-mar-wa Jangchub Drakpa. The eldest son of E-sher was Ar Jangchub Yeshe. Phya-pa Chos-kyi Senge (Law Lion), a disciple of Dro-lung-pa and others, had eight great lions, four Jo-sras, and four wise ones. The eight great lions were: Tsang Nagpa Tsondru Senge, Danpakpa Smawai Senge, Drusha Sonam Senge, Majya Tsopai Senge, Tsak Wangchuk Senge, Nyangdren Choskyi Senge, Denma Konchok Senge, and Nyalpo Yonten Senge. Some also say Tsangpa Jampal Senge. The four Jo-sras were: Khon Jo-sras Tsempo, Ngog Jo-sras Ramo, Khu Jo-sras Netso, and Nyos Jo-sras Palye. The four wise ones were: Gar Wangdrub, Kongpo Jagchung, Lhopa Sogzan, and Parbuwa. Phya-ba composed the "Collected Topics on Logic," and from this, the term "Collected Topics" used by readers became popular. Except for Tsang Nagpa and Majyapa, most adhered to the tradition of Svatantrika. Furthermore, Karmapa Dusum Khyenpa and Pagdru Dorje Gyalpo both listened to the Dharma from Gya-mar-wa and Phya-pa Chos-kyi Senge (Law Lion), Sachen Kunga Nyingpo learned Pramana from Khyun Rinchen Drakpa, Lopon Sonam Tsemo learned Madhyamaka from Phya-pa Chos-seng, and Sakya Pandita learned Pramana from Majya Jangtson and Tsurton Zhon-seng, and learned tenets from Tsakpa Wangchuk Senge. The great translator Thalgyurwa Lotsawa Ba-tsab Nyima Drakpa was from the upper part of Ba-tsab in Phenyul, where there are two parts, upper and lower. He went to Kashmir and listened to the Dharma from many panditas, including the two sons of Sajjana, studying for twenty-three years. Then he returned to Tibet and translated the commentaries on the four root texts and the three texts of the Madhyamakavatara composed by Chandrakirti. He went to Phenyul and well established the system of teaching and practice of Madhyamaka, initiating the great tradition of explaining, debating, and composing the treatises of glorious Chandrakirti.

All Madhyamaka-Prasaṅgikas in the land of snows (Tibet) branched out from this. Among the disciples were Tsangpa Sarbo, Ma Jangchub Yeshe, Dar Yönten Drak, Gangpa She'u who was skilled in words, Tsangpa Dregur who was skilled in meaning, Ma Ja Jangtzön who was skilled in both, and Zhangtang Sakpa Yeshe Jungne who was not skilled in either. These were known as the four sons of Watsap. Relying on them, the explanation of Madhyamaka flourished in Ü-Tsang (Central Tibet). Ma Ja Jangtzön, a disciple of Phawa, heard Madhyamaka and other teachings from Watsap. Zhangtang Sakpa, for his part, established Tangsak and excellently engaged in the teaching and learning of Madhyamaka. In the context of the fourth page, from the "Sword of Wisdom Deciding the Meaning": "Attachment to the real and attachment to the unreal, Attachment to the two and attachment to the non-two, However one attaches, it is attachment, Whatever is grasped by attachment Is the domain of the demon, So it is said in the sutra." That is, attachment to the real, and attachment to the unreal that refutes it, and attachment to both the real and the unreal, and attachment to neither of the two, etc. However one attaches, there is movement of the mind, so it is attachment. Whatever is grasped by attachment, whether it is the unreal or the real, is the domain of the demon, as it is said in the Sutra of Mañjuśrī's Play and the Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra, etc. In the "Electric Lamp": Although all the phenomena of conventional truth that arise due to dependent origination appear merely pleasing to the mind without investigation, in ultimate truth, they are not established by their own nature. Therefore, all phenomena such as the form that appears are empty of inherent existence, so form is emptiness; and the appearance of dependent origination arises without ceasing, so emptiness is form; and at the very moment of appearance, the essence does not move from emptiness, so emptiness is not other than form; and because the essence does not move from emptiness, it appears as form, etc., so form is not other than emptiness. This is the meaning of the union of the four emptinesses. The noble Nāgārjuna said: "Conventional and ultimate, Knowing their separate divisions, Where they are truly mingled, That is explained as union." Mipham Rinpoche said: If certainty in equality arises gradually, then when a beginner properly investigates with the reasoning that establishes emptiness, such as one and many, separation, etc.,
