There is no before or after. Self-arising and self-liberation is the lifeblood of practice. There is no non-liberation, so it is not occasional. During meditation, when mental events flow unconsciously, and various thoughts arise that cannot be liberated, mindfulness must be cultivated repeatedly. Thoughts that have been calculated are like drawing on water. Meditation is like a bubble. Unconscious thoughts are like water. Unconscious thoughts are like drawing on mud and stone, which accumulates the karma of samsara. Subtle experiences of bliss, clarity, non-thought, etc., and coarse thoughts (rnam rtog ci skyes thams cad, thoughts, what arises, all) that flow towards the objects of the six senses, do not exist in the initial ground. Illusions that do not exist at the time of the final perfect fruition, whatever arises is self-arising and self-liberating. Furthermore, artificial focused mindfulness is like a young woman spinning cotton, with fine and coarse, slow and fast. When abiding, it is like a watchman. When scattered, it is like counting livestock. It is not about identifying all thoughts and then engaging in affirmation and negation, but if one is a person who has realized awareness, then one is inseparable from the natural mindfulness, and the appearance of mindfulness is the wheel of wisdom. As soon as a thought arises, the one who remembers is liberated in the nature of reality, then the initial way of practice is not mistaken, therefore, mindfulness is self-liberated within the bindu. As it is said: Artificial focused mindfulness, if relaxed, there is no doubt that it will be liberated. Furthermore, thought (rnam rtog ci shar, thought, what arises), merely recognizing its own nature, cannot cut off the continuous force of delusional karma. The arising (’gyu ba ngo shes pa) and simultaneously, seeing the self-nature of awareness nakedly, as soon as a thought arises, the view of meditation and post-meditation is like meeting someone familiar from before, without engaging in conceptualization, the view is the wisdom of the union of awareness and emptiness (ye shes de nyid), recognizing it and abiding in the natural state. Furthermore, when awareness is nakedly manifest, whatever (gang ci shar ba thams cad, whatever arises, all) arises is not suppressed, because whatever arises from the play of awareness is the play of vipashyana, so let it arise (shar du bcug la). Whatever (gang shar) arises is pure within awareness or the natural state, so it is the play of the dharmakaya, or the means or companion for manifestation, therefore whatever (gang shar thams cad) arises from thought manifests as the play of awareness itself. No matter how coarse the thought (rnam rtog) of the five poisons is, even if strong hatred arises, for a person who recognizes the view without inversion, his awareness is liberated at that very moment.

This ability, or, awareness is bright and radiant and possesses, for example, just as a man increases his physical strength through food and sleep, etc. Whatever arises, awareness is empty and naked, and it consumes conceptual aggregates as food. Awareness itself is pure and stainless in nature, free from inner and outer obscurations, and is wisdom. However, when the self-power of awareness arises from that state, all good conceptual thoughts that should be taken and all bad conceptual thoughts that should be abandoned are cultivated by liberating them without acceptance or rejection. When conceptual thoughts arise, they are liberated in their own place, like the path of a bird in the sky. Since it does not go beyond the arising or nature of the Dharmakaya, no matter how it changes, it is the play of the Dharmakaya King. The basis of mind, the delusion arising from ignorance and clinging to reality, the self of the person who thinks "I", and the self of phenomena such as pillars, the clinging to forms, etc., as truly established, the antidote to that is awareness and wisdom. Luminosity is uninterrupted, which means cutting off the stream of delusion. The emptiness of the nature of what arises from transformation is not different from awareness, and it arises and dissolves by itself like a wave from the ocean. When conceptual thoughts arise during meditation, it means knowing how to transform everything that arises into a means of meditation. The transformation of abiding, the aid of falling, means that when awareness arises nakedly and the wind-mind is extremely clear, conceptual thoughts do not arise. Even if they arise, they do not go beyond that state, so they do not block the position of abiding. If it abides, the part that arises does not cease, so it does not hinder the position of arising. The way of arising is the same as before. Ordinary people cling to conceptual thoughts as they appear. Just as clinging becomes entangled, it appears in true establishment, and thus accumulates good and bad karma, so it is action. The way of explanation is the subsequent attainment of what was mixed before. As stated in the case of the snake knot during meditation, it is an oral tradition. The way of explaining the scriptures should be understood as a traveler walking on a road. It is also said that there are three kinds of faculties: superior, middling, and inferior. The so-called empty room without a thief means that the ground is not lost, so there is nothing to be gained from conceptual thoughts. Awareness has nothing to lose. For example, like a vajra and a diamond sword. Such is the way of liberation. Although the meaning of meditation is known, it is the one in which the characteristics of dualistic grasping have not disappeared by holding emptiness, etc., as the object of mental consciousness. This is what Mipham said. The three wrong paths are: First, relying solely on the causal contemplation
