It is not going by relying on arrogance and joy. Then, by what means does one go? By relying on the completion of the Chöd instructions to determine the limits of words, by obtaining the introduction of guidance to settle the cycle of existence and nirvana, by seeing the very nature of the mind to cut off the attachments of inside and outside, by letting go of the clinging to the body, one should go by transforming obstacles into the path. Having gone, the distinction of the instructions on what to practice is: the teaching is the meaning of the Prajñāpāramitā, the practice is the Chöd realm of demons, the dwelling place is a steep mountain hermitage, the view is without gods or demons, the meditation is sleeping naked without sexual activity, the conduct is trampling on the equality of corpses, the offerings are taking meat and taking blood, the practice is happiness in sickness, old age, and death, the path is abandoning the corpse as food, the vows are without virtue or sin, the fruit is non-duality and spontaneous accomplishment, this should be practiced. Among these, the practice of the first night is: giving away the body, extracting self-grasping from the object, and giving the corpse away again as food. First, visualize your own body as young and in its prime, beautiful and pleasing. From your heart, visualize this mind as glorious Vajrayogini. She comes forth in the sky in front of you, and with the hooked knife in her hand, separates your own body, this stiff corpse without mind, the head and limbs, the upper and lower body, cuts them into pieces, gathers them into a pile, takes out the sense organs and heart, and piles them in front of you. The pile of flesh is piled up as high as the Akanishta heaven, and the sea of blood is as vast as the outer ocean. Then the venerable lady blesses it as she pleases, and summons the gods and demons who harm you and create obstacles to the front, visualizing them as filling the expanse of the sky. Offering the body as a feast to them, visualize them happily devouring the flesh with great gulps, and drinking the blood. Now there is not even a speck of attachment to the body, not even a single hair's worth of control. Thinking, "If the gods and demons are in a hurry, let them eat it cold; if they are not in a hurry, let them cook it and eat it," give it away with an open mind, give it away fiercely with your mind, and say "Phat!" with your mouth. Relax and let go in a state of indifference, and leave it abandoned. Do the same when fear and dread occur alternately. Then, this mind is more than you...

Even the pure ones have not seen it. The body has been given away to all the gods and demons of existence and non-existence, and it is gone. Now I think that there is no need to advise, instruct, care for, lengthen, shorten, keep, or cling to the body. I leave it in that state. To remove attachment from the object of attachment is: the body has been given away like that, and this merely appearing body can go, stay, or lie down. Like a corpse abandoned in an empty, ownerless house or cemetery, or like earth and stones abandoned on the road, it is without appearance, without attachment, without clinging, without dependence, without an owner, without need, without truth. I leave it in that state. Entrusting the corpse to the vultures: From then on, whatever sickness, harm, beating, killing, or abuse happens to this body, just say "Ouch!" I am not the master, I am not the one, I have not clung to it. Do whatever you please, you are free. Even if you throw it into hell, think that you are free, and do not be impatient or fussy. Afterwards, whether it is me, the gods and demons, or the cutter, Again, do not dwell on it, but relax and release it into the state of the three emptinesses, and leave it as you please. By doing so, you will complete the accumulations, purify the obscurations, repay the karmic debts, and abandon the clinging to the body, and thereby realize your own mind essence. The practice of the second night is: First, when going to the Chö practice, one should go with a firm understanding of the introduction, a great desire for practice, and the ability to endure pleasure and pain. First, through the preliminary introduction, the nature of mind should be well attuned. Whatever illusions and obstacles may arise tonight are illusions of the unborn mind. Therefore, know that all phenomena, including samsara, nirvana, and the six realms, are illusions of the unborn mind, and that in reality there is not even a moment of true existence. The great desire for practice is: Because you have a good confidence in practice and realization, no matter what adverse conditions and obstacles arise, like swinging a sword in the depths of the forest, without fear or hesitation, regard all adverse conditions as the fine and coarse divisions of practice, and face them head-on. Like snow falling on a stone, realize them, and like cutting water with a sword, understand the non-reality of subsequent knowledge. The ability to endure pleasure and pain is: Whatever high or low, happiness or sorrow may arise.
