From the Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) emanates light, inviting your root guru, as well as all the gurus of the three times, all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Ḍākinīs, and Dharma protectors, dissolving them into indivisibility. With the conviction that you are the embodiment of the guru, yidam, and all the Jewels, offer the maṇḍala many times. By whose kindness, the great bliss... Praise the guru with whatever praises you know. Then, supplicate intensely: 'I supplicate the glorious guru, the embodiment of the four kāyas, please grant your blessings! I supplicate the glorious guru, the essence of the Three Refuges... Incomparable guide... Shower of the path to liberation... Dispeller of the darkness of ignorance, I supplicate the glorious guru, please grant your blessings! Please grant your blessings so that I may be able to practice with one-pointedness. Please grant your blessings so that there may be no obstacles to my practice. Please grant your blessings so that my practice may be completed. Please grant your blessings so that I may obtain the essence of practice. Please grant your blessings so that śamatha and vipaśyanā may be united. Please grant your blessings so that experiences and realizations may arise. Please grant your blessings so that I may realize the profound nature of reality. Please grant your blessings so that I may attain supreme accomplishment.' By supplicating in this way, from the Oṃ (藏文:ༀ།,梵文天城体:ॐ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡) Āḥ (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿) Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) Hoḥ (藏文:ཧོཿ,梵文天城体:होः,梵文罗马拟音:hoḥ,汉语字面意思:霍) at the four places of the guru, four rays of white, red, blue, and yellow light emanate. By dissolving into your own four places, you receive the four empowerments. The guru dissolves into light and merges into you, contemplate that the guru's body, speech, and mind and your own body, speech, and mind are indivisible, becoming the vajra body. Second The Uncommon Preliminaries The uncommon preliminaries include meditating on the generation stage and purifying the three: body, speech, and mind. Meditating on the Generation Stage First, in order to precede the accumulation of wisdom of the completion stage, one must meditate on the accumulation of merit of the generation stage. As it is said in the scriptures, this should be practiced as an antidote to clinging to oneself as ordinary. Therefore, here, we will briefly meditate on the generation stage of Kālacakra. First, proceed with refuge and generating bodhicitta, then contemplate that all dharmas are empty in nature. From emptiness, on top of a lotus, moon, sun, and Rāhu stacked upon each other, you instantly become the Bhagavan Kālacakra, with a blue body, one face, and two arms holding a vajra and bell, embracing the consort. The right leg is red and extended, pressing down on the red Kāmadeva; the left leg is white and contracted, pressing down on the white Rudra. The crown of hair is adorned with various vajras and a half-moon, and decorated with Vajrasattva. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adorned with ornaments, wearing a tiger skin lower garment. The consort is yellow in color, with one face and two arms, holding a curved knife and a skull cup, embracing the father. Adorned with a Vajrasattva crown, adorned with five bone ornaments. The left leg is extended, placed together with the father's foot. The father represents the great bliss of skillful means, the mother represents the wisdom of emptiness. From the heart of the father, light radiates, transforming all outer phenomena into a celestial palace and all inner beings into the mandala deities of Kalachakra. Thus, at the beginning of each session, one should meditate clearly and briefly. Next is the taming of the three solitudes: body, speech, and mind. The second part includes: relying on a solitary place and the manner of relying on solitude. First, in general, it is a place ruled by a righteous king, conducive to yoga and pleasing to the mind. In particular, the meditation room should not have any openings from which light can enter from the outside, not even one as small as a horse's hair can pass through. Inside, there should be no impurities or foul odors, the environment should be comfortable, and one should meditate in a dark room with well-sealed doors and windows. Secondly, until single-pointed concentration arises and becomes stable, all actions of body, speech, and mind, whether virtuous, non-virtuous, or neutral, become obstacles to concentration and must be abandoned. First is the bodily posture, which is very important. On top of a cushion placed on a platform, sit in the vajra posture (legs crossed). If one cannot do that, then sit in a half-lotus posture. Place both hands in vajra fists on the thighs, keeping the hands and spine straight like a scale. Press the inner arms against the ribs, and keep the shoulders slightly back. Keep the neck straight and slightly bent, pressing the chin against the Adam's apple. Then, because too much talking is an obstacle to concentration, one should maintain silence during meditation, taming the speech. Exhale slowly through the left, right, and central nostrils, then inhale the first breath and hold it. Touch the tongue to the upper palate, and gently close the upper and lower lips without letting air escape. Taming the mind involves cutting off all distractions of thoughts, such as dwelling on the past, anticipating the future, and analyzing the present. In the dark space in front, fix the gaze about sixteen fingers above the space between the eyebrows. Keep the eyes open or closed, without moving or blinking, and gaze steadily at one point. The mind should also focus on the same point of gaze, without any hope, doubt, affirmation, or negation, and without any conceptualization whatsoever for even a moment. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
