Considering them, what is the main factor that benefits the essence of that thing, and what is the auxiliary cause that produces the result? What is the help that generates offspring? What is the main factor that benefits the state of that thing? Classification: direct and indirect auxiliary causes, and two types of conditions. Furthermore, conditions are classified into self-condition, object-condition, immediately preceding condition, and cause-condition, or five including clarifying condition. The definitions are in order as follows: As a component of the acting cause, it independently generates its own result; as the cause of that result, it is the object of that result; As consciousness, after its own cessation, it generates the subsequent consciousness without being interrupted by other consciousnesses; as the preceding homogeneous moment, it becomes the seed component; as the object of the subject, it is the help in seeing the object, which is appearance and taming. Classification from the perspective of ability: direct cause and indirect cause. Classification from the perspective of result: direct result and indirect result. Third, classification from the perspective of time sequence: past, future, and present. The definitions are in order as follows: obstructed by the power of what previously occurred; future changes occur by the power of the seed; for what has already arisen, there is no obstruction. Classification from the perspective of generation: things that arise from effort and things that do not arise from effort. The definitions are in order as follows: things done with the thought 'I will do'; and things that are not like that. Second part Object and Subject Classifying object and subject. The definitions are in order as follows: what is to be known; and what knows or indicates. First, objects are divided into two: classified by the different ways of being an object, and classified by the ease or difficulty of understanding. The first classification includes: appearing object, grasping object, clinging object, and entering object. The definitions are in order as follows: known from appearance; for the non-erroneous self-grasping consciousness, the material that truly generates a similar image; known from clinging; and what can be accepted or rejected after being measured by valid cognition. Appearing objects exist in all consciousnesses. Grasping objects are grasped by both sense consciousness and conceptual consciousness. Clinging objects are only clung to by conceptual thought. Entering objects are entered by valid cognition, inference, and individuals. As stated above. Classified by the ease or difficulty of understanding, there are measurable, manifest, hidden, and extremely hidden objects. The definitions are in order as follows: manifest to the knower; established through inference and characteristics; and proven solely through scripture. Second, subjects are divided into non-mind and mind subjects. The first classification includes persons and expressions. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The characteristic of contaminated (Sanskrit: sāsrava): It is the continuity of the four or five aggregates (skandha). If the ālaya (Sanskrit: ālayavijñāna) is accepted, then it is said to be the continuity of the consciousness or wisdom of the ālaya. Classification: Two types, ordinary beings and noble ones. Secondly, the expressible will be shown below. Secondly, the division of the object of mind into conceptual and non-conceptual: the division into valid and invalid cognition; the division into mind and mental factors; the division into manifest and eliminative engagement. The first has two types of consciousness: conceptual and non-conceptual. The characteristics are, in order: the mind that appears capable of mixing the expressible and the expressed (consciousness that apprehends sound and meaning is called conceptual), and the mind that clearly manifests the appearance of its own object (consciousness that clearly manifests is called non-conceptual). Division: Firstly, conceptual consciousness is divided into two types: meaning-associating conceptualization and sound-associating conceptualization. The characteristics are, in order: the mind that adheres to the belief that a distinguished object possesses a distinguished meaning, and the adhering mind that mixes and grasps name and meaning. Secondly, non-conceptual consciousness is divided into valid and invalid cognition depending on whether it is valid or not. The first is direct perception itself. Invalid non-conceptual consciousness has two types: like the mind of clear appearance in a dream, which is a mental consciousness non-conceptual erroneous consciousness; and like the appearance of two moons, which is a sense consciousness non-conceptual erroneous consciousness. 2-8 Secondly, the division of mind into valid and invalid cognition, the characteristics are, in order: the consciousness that is newly non-deceptive with respect to its object of measurement, and the consciousness that is not non-deceptive. Division: Firstly, valid cognition is divided into three types based on the basis, function, and numerical determination. The first has two types: conventional valid cognition and ultimate valid cognition, the characteristics are, in order: the correct consciousness that is non-deceptive until the state is changed, and the correct consciousness that is permanently non-deceptive. Secondly, there are two types: valid cognition determined by itself and valid cognition determined by others. The characteristics are, in order: any valid cognition that either by itself or by its own power can directly lead to a definite understanding of that object; and any valid cognition that is not determined by itself and cannot directly lead to a definite understanding by its own power (as it is said in the *Treasury of Reasoning*: 'Meaning and knowledge, and self-awareness and, subsequent inference are determined by themselves.', 'The first one, and the consciousness that does not rely, has causes of illusion, and is determined by others.'). The divisions are: all inferences, yogic direct perception, self-awareness direct perception, direct perception that appears as things are functioning, and habitual direct perception are all determined by themselves. The meaning before is not... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
