Regarding the account (of the protectors): The Nyingma tradition, transmitted from the master Shantigarbha, also resided at Gyachak Zhingba. The new tradition, Jowoje, heard (the teachings) from Rongpa Gardgewalwa Chakriba through Gyachak Zhingba. From Gyachak Zhingba, Jey Dakpo, known as Gampo Chenpo, heard (the teachings). Initially, he did not request the instructions of the Lord, but later went into retreat. During the time when activities flourished, when many violent people from upper and lower Kyer accumulated sins, they were first sent to Lama Chak Zhingba to request (teachings), from which arose what is known as "Marchungma." Later, the Lord himself prophesied and again had them request, from which arose the instructions known as "Tangshamma." Later, many different kinds of instructions arose, and until they were tired of them, a model was made and hidden as treasure in Kala Dungtso. Later, the reincarnation of Yeshe Dorje, Dungtso Repa, extracted it from the treasure, and the Dakpo tradition became known as both Kama and Terma. Also, according to the Shodbu Lotsawa's tradition, the Wisdom Lord Trakshad himself, holding a curved knife and skull cup in his hands, without a mount, manifested as the main Wisdom Lord. With a black horse as a mount, plus the brother and sister Chamdral as assistants, along with the Activity Lord and seven charnel ground mothers as retinue. This is known as Shogbu Gonpo, but according to the sadhana method composed by Master Dhana Sanskrita, the main deity has one face, the face of Shana. The retinue is also surrounded only by seven Shana mothers. This is the Lord of Kyo, where Lama Kye Lotsawa made this Wisdom Lord the protector. The great translator Gos Lhatse also said that before he went to India, he had accomplished this Lord, so he had great power. When he went to India, on the way in Tibet, a strong group of thieves came to rob him, and he performed many peaceful serkyems, especially saying, "I am going to India to study Dharma, for the sake of the Buddha's teachings," but they did not listen, so he set the protector as a witness. He made fierce curses to all the eight classes of gods and demons, and tore his robes, and immediately the leader fell from his horse, vomited blood, and died. All the others fled. Later, it is said that Gos also translated the small tantra of the Black Naked One, which has thirteen chapters. After that, this Dharma cycle is known as Lho Rog.

Although various forms such as the Xiu and Jiang lineages emerged, the accomplished Tshechenpo, who appeared in Anyal Nyenpo, made it a Dharma protector, hence it is known as Tshegon. Dribo Gyalyon inquired about this. The scholar Dri Gon inquired about this. Gongpopa Darshe inquired about this, and it has continued uninterrupted until now. This main Gonpo is not the Zhabtang Lacham Dral of Zhezhong, but rather the horse-riding retinue of seven mothers and seven wolves, without dog faces, but in their own wolf forms. Also, the Gonpo known as Maning Gonpo Trakshad is largely similar to the Nyingma Palgon Maning, and there are three lineages for this. The first was spoken by Guru Padmasambhava. The second is also called Black Practitioner Bhadra, and also called Damtsik Dorje Chungwa, which in essence is the lama of Jetsun Marpa, the guide to liberation. He became the lama of Ngok Lo and Naktsowa, his name in Tibetan is Zhiwa Zangpo, and in Ladakh he is called Great Black One, it was he who gave it to Tibet, and it is known as the Iron Chain of the Neck. The third is, the lama known as Little Black One of India, Dampa Sangye spoke the sadhana of this and told it to Zhu Lotsawa, therefore it is also called Zhu Gonpo, it is said that Dampa Sangye said that if one practices this Gonpo, the other sadhanas are just imitations of Gonpo. These all indicate that many different systems arose. Among all of these, the one with extensive Dharma cycles, immeasurable blessings of empowerment, and activities is the glorious Yeshe Gonpo of the Nyos lineage. Among them, the Nyospa initially mainly practiced the Nyingma Magician, and the Dharma protector was the life-force iron dagger goddess. The father and uncle of Nyos Lotsawa, Nyos Thugyal and Nyos Pang, during the time of Mesho, became proficient in the new yoga on top of the old Nyingma. The son of Thugyal is Nyön Lotsawa Yonten Drak. The birthplace and place of activities were mainly in Kharak Tsa. From a young age, he was proficient in his father's Dharma. At Ngada Yeshe Gyaltsen and Kyangpo Chölo, he heard the Secret Assembly Wisdom Foot and the commentary on Menpa's Foot, etc., and when he had a rough understanding, he went to study translation, and relied on the Nepalese Sitharpa Namgyal Wangpo for two years.
