I pray! From then on, protecting and abiding in the Dharma in all Buddha-fields. Secondly: In the past, when the perfectly complete Buddha went to the city of the royal palace, a dancer generated faith, made extensive offerings of songs and music, and made aspirations. Later, about six hundred years after the Buddha's parinirvana, he was reborn as a human being and became the accomplished hermit Gonpo Shavaripa. Once, while he was in a charnel ground in the cool forest, absorbed in undistracted samadhi, at dawn one morning, the sound of a damaru resounded in the sky. When he looked up, this Wisdom Protector appeared manifestly. The Protector gave his life-mantra and all the sadhanas to the accomplished Shavaripa. The glorious Shavaripa practiced the conduct of a yogi, and his life was as long as the sun and moon. He lived on the southern Glorious Mountain. Furthermore, the noble Avalokiteshvara, Vajrayogini, the noble Tara, and the glorious Protector himself are known as the inseparable four deities of blessing. Those other deities also spoke their respective sadhanas to Shavaripa. From that time, about a thousand years later, a master named Maitripa, whose real name was Maitri Gubhe, which in Tibetan means "Hidden Love," and whose secret name was Non-Dual Vajra, while residing in Vikramashila, gained stability in the generation stage. Although he had attained extraordinary abilities, he had not realized the meaning of reality, so he prayed to the deity and received the prophecy, "Go to the southern Glorious Mountain, and the hermit Protector will take you in." After that, he went to the Glorious Mountain and heard all the instructions of the profound meaning of the Great Seal from the accomplished Shavarupa. When he realized reality, he became as vast as the sky. He received permission to spread the teachings of profound meaning. He composed the sadhanas of the four deities of blessing. After practicing for twenty-one days, the Dharma protectors became his servants. They would take great objects of stability and movement from beyond a hundred yojanas and offer them as offerings, and accomplish all that he desired. Another kind of story is: In the past,

The Upasaka Shiyi Gocha, known as having iron armor, went to Mount Potala three times. He directly met the Holy Avalokiteshvara. He visited and circumambulated all the palaces and other immeasurable mansions, both early and late. He performed prostrations and offerings to all the sacred objects. In one corner, there was a very large mansion that was never opened. When he requested the brave Dakinis to open this door, they said, "If this door is opened, all three realms will be terrified, die, or be on the verge of death." Then he again requested the Holy Avalokiteshvara, who sent an emanation messenger. By the power of the Holy One's command, the door was opened without harming any sentient beings. There he met this Wisdom Protector. After praying, he received empowerment and blessings. He prayed to come to Jambudvipa to benefit sentient beings and uphold the Buddha's teachings, and he was granted his request. From then on, an emanation body always resided in the banyan tree cave in the great Cool Grove charnel ground. It is said that Saraha and Shavaripa also practiced this method. This came from the oral tradition of the translator Ngor Chosang. It also agrees with what is said in the tantra known as the "Potala Path," that this Protector resides in Potala. Some also believe that this Protector resides in the stupa of glorious Drepung Monastery, and was invited by the master Nagarjuna and the Brahmin Supreme Attachment. All of these are true because of the different places, times, and circumstances. Thirdly, in general, there have been many translators who translated the Dharma cycles of this Protector into Tibetan. Gyijo Dawa Ozer heard from the attendant of the Pandit Miming Dorje and translated the small treatise of Shavaripa. It is said that this tradition is a Dharma cycle of recitation, practice, and activity based solely on the Protector. The Nyamse translator, whoever it was, Tsultrim Jungne, is said to have translated based on the Pandit Shanta Akara. This practice method can be seen in various ancient Tibetan texts, and it seems to be the Dharma cycle known as the Six Cycles of Dakinis. Also, the translator Ngor Chosang heard Saraha and Sha from the Pandit Atayavajra.
