During practice, pray that no internal or external obstacles arise. Pray in this way three times. Generate devotion and love for the root guru. Allow the vital energies of the body to flow naturally. Visualize that all the holy beings, including the guru, yidam, and dakinis, dissolve into light and merge into the disciple's own being, then relax for a moment. Let the mind naturally rest in its own nature, and remain in that state for a moment. Now, this state that is free from all mental fixations, naked and vivid, is the unborn dharmakaya of one's own mind, or ordinary awareness, or natural essence. From now on, in all activities, whether walking, sitting, or lying down, protect it without any fabrication. Offering a mandala and reciting aspiration prayers are the same as the usual rituals. The second part is: The preliminary practices for the session are the same as before. In all situations, maintain mindfulness. Remind yourself in this way repeatedly. When the mind rests on the object of focus, simply turn your attention inward and recognize your own nature. Rest in a state of non-fabrication. Whatever appearances or thoughts arise, do not deliberately accept or reject them, but simply rest in the state of recognizing their own nature, allowing the thoughts to become clear and vivid without being obstructed. Do not let any thought slip away without being recognized. As long as you do not depart from the recognition of your own nature, let the thoughts flow as they flow, let them return as they return, and strive to maintain mindfulness. There is not the slightest bit of fabrication in this, nor is there any moment of distraction. Right now, recognize that the four faults are naturally liberated, namely: too close to recognize, too profound to understand, too simple to believe, and too good to comprehend. Liberate yourself from these four faults, namely: first, the inability to recognize one's own nature; second, in the past, during states such as death or fainting, ordinary awareness has often clearly revealed its own nature, but it has never been recognized by the guru's instructions; third, whether wise or foolish, one cannot accept this state of effortless effort; and fourth, one cannot believe that the nature of the mind is Buddha. Therefore, in all situations, as long as you recognize your own nature, emptiness and clarity will naturally manifest. Therefore, there is no need to modify any appearances. Apart from this clear and empty nature, there is no samsara.
