It is said that the difference in viewing these two is extremely large. Therefore, according to the view of the Rangtongpas (emptiness of self), the Sutras of the Shravakas are mostly of definitive meaning, and all the vast Mahayana Sutras, except for the Prajnaparamita Sutra, are only of provisional meaning. Thus, the definitive and provisional meanings of the Great and Small Vehicles are reversed. This Shentong (emptiness of other) is not only the final teaching, but also the intention of the intermediate. In the chapter of Maitreya's Questions in the Prajnaparamita Sutra, since the three natures are acknowledged, if it is thought that all dharmas have no reality, then establishing the three natures becomes meaningless. It is also said in the Ornament of the Sutras: "What is said is not the true meaning, the Bhagavan's intention is very profound." This also seems to indicate that the words of the Prajnaparamita Sutra are merely directly shown and should not be regarded as the ultimate definitive meaning. Therefore, it is said that the imagined and dependent natures on the dharmas from form to omniscience are without reality, while the perfected nature is temporarily left in neutrality. It is believed that there are no different Sutras between Madhyamaka and Chittamatra, but only differences in the way the intention is explained in the same Sutra, so there is no disagreement on this. Just as there are no different Sutras between the Abhidharma and Sutra schools, but only differences in the way the intention is understood. In general, since many schools holding the Chittamatra's view of everything as truly existent have appeared, it does not matter whether or not the texts of the treatises have been touched. Even if there are texts, there is no need to translate them into Tibetan. If it is necessary, then except for the Red Garment sect among the eighteen Shravaka schools, the Tripitaka and Sutra school doctrines of the others will also disappear, because they are not in Tibet. Wouldn't it be said that way? Therefore, the Pramanavarttika (Commentary on Valid Cognition) is generally not a Sutra school treatise, and even if it is, it only has some Buddhist terms and does not have a complete sectarian system. If it is considered to exist simply because the view system of the Sutra school has appeared, then the view system of everything as truly existent has appeared in all Yogacara treatises, so why wouldn't the Chittamatra treatises also be considered to exist? Furthermore, there is no Sutra citation indicating that the second turning of the wheel of Dharma is of definitive meaning and the third turning is of provisional meaning. In the Samdhinirmocana Sutra, the second turning is said to be of provisional meaning and the third turning is of definitive meaning, so the definitive and provisional meanings are separated.

Moreover, if this sutra must also be interpreted as provisional because it is interpreted as provisional, then it is too much; in the absence of scriptural basis for distinguishing definitive and provisional in one's own camp, saying that the scriptures of other schools are provisional is merely an act of coercion; although Nagarjuna spoke of self-emptiness in the collection of reasoning, he spoke of other-emptiness in the collection of praises, thus following both sides; others such as Sagacious Wisdom and Chandrakirti, although generally excellent among the panditas, are not included in the Six Ornaments, have not been prophesied to uphold the Buddha's teachings, and are not in a position to compete with the brothers Asanga, Dignāga, and Dharmakīrti; especially the noble Asanga, who was personally prophesied by the Buddha to distinguish between definitive and provisional sutras, and Vasubandhu, who had ninety-nine hundred thousand treatises in his mind, and Vasubandhu, Dignāga, and Dharmapāla, were also regarded by Chandrakirti and Jñānagarbha as more virtuous and learned than themselves, and were approved as great chariots, therefore, it is unjust to refute the brothers Asanga based on the words of Chandrakirti and others, so it is said. In addition, from the standpoint of philosophical tenets, there are very many refutations and affirmations of these two sides, but because the text is too long, and it seems inconvenient to read for the time being, I have not written it. Among them, the meaning of self-emptiness is that all phenomena of the conventional and ultimate, are empty of their own nature and without truth, therefore, it is believed that all phenomena are self-empty, which is the so-called self-emptiness. Other-emptiness is that all phenomena of the conventional are empty of their own nature without truth, therefore, it is self-empty, however, the ultimate realm of reality is truly established, therefore, it is not empty of its own nature, however, it is emptiness, because it is empty of all elaborations such as the apprehended and the apprehender, therefore, the ultimate is other-empty. Because it is the meaning of this view, it is consistent that the conventional is self-empty, and the difference lies in whether or not the ultimate is considered self-empty. The way of establishing the conventional and the ultimate is also different, the self-empty ones believe that all phenomena encompassed by samsara and nirvana, what appears in this way is the conventional, and these phenomena are without self-nature, which is the ultimate truth.
