However, it appears as illusion. It is Madhyamaka that relies solely on the conventional. The mind that abandons external objects appears in various ways. It is the conventional Madhyamaka of yogis. Although the mind appears clearly, it has no self-nature. It is considered the ultimate Madhyamaka of mere designation. Only the perfectly established, free from the two dharmas, is considered the ultimate Madhyamaka by the Buddhas. That which does not change in any way is the ultimate characteristic of Madhyamaka. Those who boast and affirm themselves as wise and accomplished are mostly confused about this profound meaning. Although conventional appearances and dependent origination are not contradictory, in the ultimate sense, there is nothing of these. Thus, teaching also relies on the two truths, which is the common Madhyamaka of reliance. From the qualities of the fruit meaning and the two bodies, it is the Madhyamaka of pervasive and constant meaning. Saying there is nothing will become nihilistic, let alone saying it is not two. Thus, this is the first part, which is a discussion of identifying the nature of Madhyamaka. The Buddhas taught the infinite aggregates, realms, and sources. Here, the classification of appearances, sounds, and dharmas is: material objects and imputed things, and non-things, divided into three. Alternatively, it can be summarized into the three: the form aggregate, the mind source, and the dharma realm. By including the element realm and the container realm, and by including the essence, all form is encompassed. Elements are the cause, and objects and faculties are the result. There are differences in arrangement such as high and low. There are visible, obstructive, and non-obstructive. Without distinguishing between material objects and imputed, these three can be distinguished. The mind source includes similar things and is summarized into the three: mind, intellect, and consciousness. The dharma realm is also divided into three: the objects of designation, the designating dharmas, and non-things. The first of these is further divided into three aggregates. Feeling is summarized into the three: pleasure, pain, and equanimity. Perception is divided into inverted and pure, and there is also correct perception. There is the perception of self, the perception of moisture as water, the perception of impermanence, and so on. Inverted perceptions such as ugliness, due to necessary reasons, can also become correct. Therefore, it is necessary to understand such distinctions. There are also distinctions of distraction, concentration, and subtlety. Differentiated by body, speech, and mind, it is action. Each one is also divided into virtuous and non-

Unspecified. Those said to be afflictions that are unspecified are included in the category of non-virtue because they are shown in a concealed manner. All types of afflictions are included in the three poisons of attachment, hatred, and delusion. Renunciation, compassion, and proper attention, as well as faith and diligence, are good when equally maintained. Good arises from correct perception, while non-virtuous actions arise from perversion. Pure beings produce non-specified actions. However, this is mostly altered by friends. The characteristics that are thoroughly investigated, based on objects, times, and things, become threefold. The characteristics of phenomena are birth, cessation, abiding, and aging; sickness and change; large and small, extremes and middle; high and low, cause and effect, distinctions of the three times; going and coming, loss and gain, characteristics and what is signified; basis, name, word, letter, and so on; differences in coarseness and temporal arrangements; support and what is supported, root and branch; branch and what has branches, word and meaning; various differences in relationships are considered to be either one self or arising from it, or possessions and owner, or natural change, cause and what has a cause, accompanying together, principal and subordinate, inferior and superior, clear and unclear, benefactor and beneficiary, harmer and harmed, the relationship of signifier, characteristic, and basis, what is expressed and the expression, object and what possesses the object, example and reason, the connection of dharma and meaning, the relationship of agent, action, and act, and so on. Beautiful and not beautiful, intermediate, and so on; high and low, intermediate, and so on, are categories; experiencer, knower, seer, agent, sentient being, person, individual, god and hell, the arrangement of realms, the arrangement of the body such as neck, hand, eye, and so on, the arrangement of mountains and forests, houses, and containers, the arrangement of light and darkness, and so on, are arrangements of use. These coarse ones can be transformed by analysis through investigation, but because of different aspects, they are placed separately. Similarly, year, month, day, and kalpa, and so on. The connection of before and after, the connection of form, the space of form, the form and sound in the mind, and so on. Hunger, thirst, food, enjoyment, and movement, and so on. Many temporary various differences, number and direction, time, contradiction, negation, and affirmation. All of these, based on their respective opposites, are measured by the mind as to whether things exist or not.
