These are indirect indications of wisdom. This verse shows the four qualities mentioned above. Giving indicates vastness, not having self-grasping etc. and stinginess indicates no defilement, sentient beings etc. indicate great meaning, and things etc. indicate inexhaustibility. The second part is divided into six aspects, the first of which is giving, i.e. things and not having things etc. Here, things are the objects of giving, i.e. the implements of defilement, and the teachings of the scriptures that should be shown to others, etc. Like this, in the things that appear as things, the nature of things is not established, but the samadhi that realizes them like illusions, and the accumulation of the power of roots of virtue, faith and aspiration, may my defilements and the enjoyment of the teachings be spontaneously accomplished without effort, thereby accomplishing the cause of giving, that is, the implements. All things are perishable, and inevitable separation is the nature of things, so it is good to give to others. As it is said in the Bodhicaryāvatāra: "Giving up everything at all times, giving to sentient beings is the most excellent." This is the same as what is said. If translated as "with all perishable things", it is easier to understand. Thus, there are three kinds of giving, may one reach the perfection of giving through learning. The second is ethics: Ethics etc. The three verses are in order: abstaining from misdeeds, gathering virtues, and benefiting sentient beings, which can be done as those who have such explanations do. Or, there is no fault of breaking vows, purifying the afflictions that are the cause of downfall, and not having the arrogance of clinging to truth, thus connecting them. Here, some wise people say that it would be better to translate it as "ethics without the fault of ethics". The third is patience: like earth or etc., like earth, it is patience that does not care about harm, like fire, it is patience that accepts suffering, for the sake of diligence and effort, and the two categories of firm faith in the Dharma. Focusing on the conventional truth is like water, in order to become sharp in understanding the nature of the vast Dharma. Focusing on the ultimate truth is like the element of wind, not abiding in the characteristics of elaboration, it is patience. Absence of anger is patience.

All three are present, meaning there is no anger of wanting to abandon the objects. Or, taking no heed of harm, as the literal meaning suggests, there is no anger and its retinue. Fourth is diligence: initiating diligence, etc. A bodhisattva initiating diligence means that during the application stage, they have a firm and joyful mind towards the vast armor-like diligence; during the main practice, they initiate the diligence of application, without laziness, initiating respectful application and constant application; and during the subsequent stage, they initiate irreversible diligence, possessing strength of body and mind, meaning without fatigue. Fifth is meditative concentration: like illusion, etc. Among these, the meditative concentration like illusion is primarily the one-pointed wisdom that sees all conventional interdependent phenomena; the meditative concentration of the brave-going is the essence of emptiness and compassion inseparable, the function being the self-appearing body, and the one-pointed wisdom that relies on the various miracles that tame whatever appears to others; the vajra-like meditative concentration is the one-pointed wisdom that, having destroyed the two obscurations along with their imprints, sees all knowable things as they are and in their entirety. These should be understood in detail in their respective sutras, and the boundaries of the stages are from the corresponding lower paths. For each practice, even the initial practitioner must enter, but in terms of the actual, it is around the eighth and tenth bhumis, and the constant extremes, etc. Sixth is wisdom: liberation, etc. Emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness are the three doors of liberation. Thus, also: From the Ornament of the Sutras: "Non-conceptual, the direction behind, always endowed with joy." The wisdom that focuses on selflessness and freedom from elaboration is the meditative concentration of emptiness; knowing the characteristics of compounded phenomena and samsara is wishlessness; and obtaining joy by focusing on the characteristics of nirvana is signlessness. The three times of the conventional are without inherent existence as equality, and the wisdom that realizes the three times of the ultimate realm as unchanging, constant, and stable equality; the three knowledges are the knowledge of past lives, the knowledge of future lives, and the knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements, all of which are wisdom seen directly.

The prayer for the ultimate fruit is: Thus, with the six perfections fully accomplished, the Dharmakaya praised and extolled by all Buddhas, the radiant Sambhogakaya, the brilliantly blazing Nirmanakaya, and the unfailing activity, the fruit of diligent effort during the time of a Bodhisattva. Through these, may the task of fulfilling my heart's desire, to establish sentient beings in unsurpassed Bodhi, be swiftly accomplished. The third is the benefit: Thus, and so forth, practicing the means of Bodhi such as the six perfections, the four means of gathering, and the superknowledges, by planting this special prayer, Maitreya, the Regent, not long after generating the initial thought of enlightenment in the past, when he became known as the monk Lodro Tenda (Intelligence Steadfast), having attained the vast and extensive Maitreya Samadhi, and having placed countless beings in the Maitreya Samadhi, from then on, he was always known by the name Maitreya. Among the lords of the ten Bhumis, the most famous one, having perfected the six perfections, dwelling supremely on the tenth Bhumi, without difficult asceticism, easily entering and attaining Buddhahood. Thus, by showing the sequence of miraculous occurrences in the past, it is also shown that followers will also receive such benefits. Thus, the meaning of the words has been clearly shown. It is said that there is no commentary on this text in India, and although various Tibetan commentaries have been seen, most of what is said here is based on examining the Sutra itself and speaking from one's own intelligence. However, the supreme master of wisdom, the venerable Jetsun Shakya Chokden, combining the rough meaning of the Mahayana Sutra Ornament with this text, is an unparalleled and supreme excellent explanation of the hidden meaning sequence. The first two verses are the chapter on refuge, confession and the accumulation of merit are the awakening of the lineage, the seed of omniscience is the actual lineage, that is, the chapter on lineage. 'Bodhi inexhaustible' refers to the chapter on generating the mind of enlightenment, and the ten directions, etc., offerings, confessions, rejoicing, prostrations, etc., are the practices of generating the mind of enlightenment.
