Thus, within these ten aspirations, there are also ten ultimate abodes: sentient beings, the world, space, the Dharmadhatu, Nirvana, the arising of Buddhas, the realm of wisdom, the object of the mind, the ultimate realm of manifest realization of wisdom, and the three lineages. Aspirations are made in the realm of the three lineages. The lineages of the world, Dharma, and wisdom, these are the three lineages in this context. The ten great aspirations are: The first is to aspire to offer all offerings to all Buddhas. The second is to aspire to fully uphold and protect all the sacred Dharma. The third is to aspire to go with an unobstructed body to the presence of all the wondrous deeds of the Buddhas of the ten directions, and to perform extraordinary activities. The fourth is to aspire to always practice all the practices of Bodhisattvas. The fifth is to aspire to fully ripen all sentient beings. The sixth is to aspire to accomplish the infinite realms of the world that will become enlightened. The seventh is to aspire to purify the manifest realms, which are also infinite and have inconceivable fields of activity, filled with supreme Bodhisattvas, etc., into pure and vast realms. The eighth is to aspire that all Bodhisattvas and myself have the same intention and action. The ninth is to aspire that all practices and trainings accomplish the ultimate and infinite meaning. The tenth is to aspire to manifest complete enlightenment in all the limits of space, in the manner of showing infinite deeds. Of these, the first, offering, is for the sake of perfecting the accumulation of merit, and the second, upholding the sacred Dharma, is for the sake of the accumulation of wisdom. The third and the following five are for the sake of fully ripening sentient beings. The third, the body that goes everywhere, is by what kind of difference in the body of reliance, and the fourth, learning all practices, is by what kind of practice of mind, etc., does one ripen others, and the fifth is the actual ripening, which is done according to the sentient beings to be ripened, and the sixth is the accomplishment of the field where one ripens, and the seventh is for the purpose of showing the means by which one becomes ripened. Refutation.

Acting in accordance with all Bodhisattvas is for realizing the distinctions of the qualities of one's own ground; ninth, acting meaningfully is for realizing that the distinctions go from higher to higher; tenth, the aspiration for Bodhi is for the ultimate fruit. These ten aspirations are also completely contained in the "Samantabhadra's Aspiration for Excellent Conduct," such as "In all the worlds where they dwell, I shall make offerings to all Buddhas," and "Moreover, to those Tathagatas, I shall make vast offerings," and "Offering to all Buddhas," etc., which is to offer to the Buddhas from the first aspect. Such as "Holding the pure Dharma of all Buddhas," and "I shall practice the excellent conduct of Bodhi," etc., which is oneself practicing, and "May the conduct of Samantabhadra be fully realized," etc., which is to show to others, these and many others are from the second aspect to uphold the Dharma. Such as "May the excellent conduct of Bodhi be quickly perfected," and "Those merits in my Dharma, like the power of illusory liberation is accomplished," etc., this is from the third aspect, using the universally traveling body to observe the realm of the Buddhas' conduct. Such as "May the conduct of Samantabhadra be completely purified, may I always practice in future kalpas," etc., many of these are from the fourth aspect to learn all actions. Such as "May all beings always be happy," etc., and "May all beings transcend the ocean of suffering," etc., this is from the fifth aspect to ripen all beings. Such as "Thus, in all directions of space, I shall adorn and purify all Buddha lands," etc., this is from the sixth aspect to accomplish immeasurable Buddha lands. Such as "In one atom are lands as many as atoms, in each land are inconceivable Buddhas," etc., up to "Showing the aspect of Nirvana, the path of peace," and "May the ocean of beings in all lands be tamed," etc., this is from the seventh aspect to purify the Buddha lands. Such as "May all beings in the ten directions be free from sorrow and always be happy," etc., and "May body, speech, and mind be completely pure," etc.
