Although it is explained to meditate on the protective wheel on top of the mandala, it is not practiced nowadays. Furthermore, from the syllable Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,hūṃ,seed syllable), the syllable A (ཨ,a,a,none) arises, from which the source of Dharma arises, white on the outside and red on the inside, with its opening pointing upwards. Its expanse becomes immeasurable. From Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,hūṃ,seed syllable), the syllables Yaṃ (ཡཾ,yaṃ,yaṃ,wind), Raṃ (རཾ,raṃ,raṃ,fire), Vaṃ (བཾ,vaṃ,vaṃ,water), and Laṃ (ལཾ,laṃ,laṃ,earth) arise and are arranged sequentially within the source of Dharma. From Yaṃ (ཡཾ,yaṃ,yaṃ,wind), the wind mandala arises, crescent-shaped and blue, marked with banners. Above that, from Raṃ (རཾ,raṃ,raṃ,fire), the fire mandala arises, triangular and red, marked with three flames. Above that, from Vaṃ (བཾ,vaṃ,vaṃ,water), the water mandala arises, circular and white, marked with a vase. Above that, from Laṃ (ལཾ,laṃ,laṃ,earth), the earth mandala arises, square and yellow, marked with four half-vajras. Here, Lama Smar Chenpo considers it appropriate to proceed in reverse order of manifestation. In this very text, both the forward and reverse orders are not explicitly stated. For things that are not the foundation of the palace but are used as a cause, there is no contradiction whether the forward or reverse order is used. Because it is the oral instruction of the Lama, both are permissible. From the Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,hūṃ,seed syllable) in the sky, a Bhrūṃ (བྷྲུཾ,bhrūṃ,bhrūṃ,seed syllable) syllable arises and dissolves into the four elements. All of these merge into one, and from this, the mandala of the support, the palace with its retinue, is accomplished: a quadrangular palace with four doors, made of various jewels, resting on a lotus platform at the center of various vajras. Inside, there are five layers of walls, white, yellow, red, green, and blue, in sequence. It is surrounded by a yellow jeweled railing, a half-net, eaves, and battlements. On the outer edge of the walls, offering goddesses are arranged on red silk cloths of desirable qualities. Above all the porticos, four tiers of cornices supported by pillars from the four corners, with a wheel, an umbrella, and the image of a deer on a lotus at the top. Inside, there are eight pillars, above which is a pure chamber filled with splendor, the top of the center adorned with a vajra jewel pinnacle. Below, outside the circle of the sun, there are two layers of black surroundings, and on the empty ground adorned with garlands of skeletons are the eight great charnel grounds, as well as the guardians of the directions, the guardians of the fields, trees, clouds, fire, water, stupas, nāgas, accomplished heroes, and yoginis.

and filled with corpses, zombies, flesh-eaters, rakshasas, birds, and various wild beasts. All characteristics are completely perfect. In the great immeasurable palace, which possesses all aspects of adornment, the deities are white in the east, yellow in the south, red in the west, green in the north, and blue in the center. Above them is a blue four-spoked wheel, surrounded by curved knives and a garland of dry skulls. In the center of the wheel, on top of various lotuses, on the right is white Brahma, and on the left is yellow Indra, facing downwards. On the shoulders of these two, on the right is the moon, and on the left is the sun. On the spokes of the wheel, in the east are male and female Gandharvas, in the south are male and female Yamarajas, in the west are male and female water deities, and in the north are male and female Yakshas, all facing downwards, intertwined with the bond of blessing, each with a mandala of the sun on top. Inside the door frames of the four doors, on the right and left, there are also moon cushions formed. On top of the central cushion: A A I I U U Ṛ Ṝ Ḷ Ḹ E AI O AU AṂ AḤ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning). The mandala of the moon, which arises from the melting of the two currents of right and left rotation, is mirror-like wisdom. On top of that: Ka Kha Ga Gha Nga, Ca Cha Ja Jha Nya, Ṭa Ṭha Ḍa Ḍha Ṇa, Ta Tha Da Dha Na, Pa Pha Ba Bha Ma, Ya Ra Va La, Sha Sha Sa Ha Ksha, Ya Ra La Va Ḍa Ḍha. The mandala of the sun, which arises from the melting of the two currents of right and left rotation, is the wisdom of equality. One's own mind, abiding in the sky, descends from the sky with the sound of the syllable Hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,种子字), and abides between the sun and moon. From that, a single skull cup appears, marked with the syllable Aṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,种子字) on the forehead. Inside it, a blue five-pronged vajra, half submerged in the skull cup, marked with Hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,种子字) in the center, is the wisdom of individual self-awareness. From that, immeasurable rays of light emanate, offering to all Buddhas, accomplishing the benefit of all sentient beings, and then gathering back. The vajra skull cup, together with the seed syllable, dissolves into it, which is the wisdom of accomplishing activities. The sun, moon, seed syllables, and hand symbols merge into one taste, and the body is completely perfected, which is the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu. Thus, the Bhagavan, the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani, is praised and blessed by as many Buddhas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River, his body dark blue, like the clouds at the end of time.
