If you meditate on other oral instructions, you will first become sleepy, and then it will also happen during the day. Pure appearances will increase greatly, and even if you meditate on tummo and karmamudra, you will experience bliss and emptiness without beginning or end during sleep and wakefulness. When grasping the clear light, if you do not want to become sleepy, it is scattered emptiness. Because you have stayed up many nights and feel tired, you should eat warm and nutritious food, focus your mind on the black bindu between your eyebrows, and adjust the strength of your desire appropriately, and this will eliminate sleepiness. If sleepiness is heavy and you cannot wake up, it is sinking. Visualize a blue four-petaled lotus in your heart, together with Anuttara (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), and visualize Hum (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) in the center of the lotus. Visualize everything as blue. During the day, also hold vase breathing many times. Before going to bed, hold your breath about eleven times and then go to sleep. Through the practice of pranayama and the difference in visualization, awareness will become clear and you will be able to wake up. If, after grasping the clear light, you are always awake, it is awake-scattering. The antidote is similar to dream practice. If you do not grasp the clear light while dreaming, it is dullness. Instead of practicing Anuttara (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) and pranayama, focus your mind on the black bindu in your heart, and this will eliminate dullness. In general, for beginners, the main cause of grasping the clear light in waking and dreaming is to meditate on the samadhi of bliss and emptiness with the mind focused. Third, it is mostly similar to the previous chapter on the practice of bardo. When signs of death appear, you should combine the previous experience of clear light with these signs and meditate single-pointedly. Once you have received such a guru's oral instruction, you only talk about death. Now, you should meditate with joy, like a child returning to his father's house, thinking that death is an opportunity to manifest the clear light as the Dharmakaya. When the coarse and subtle stages of dissolution appear, you should think that now you will dissolve all three appearances into emptiness, and perform the vajra recitation in the state of clear light. Through this cause, at the moment when the white element of the crown chakra, the red element of the navel chakra, and the three minds gather in the heart chakra, the mother and son clear light meet, and you will be liberated immediately, and the Vajra body will be accomplished in the bardo. Therefore, there are thirteen visualizations for clear light. Fifth, union. In general, from the meaning clear light of the fourth stage, the three appearances arise in reverse order, and finally manifest as the mind-made body.

The realm of activity and enjoyment is vast and inexhaustible, the manifestation of skillful means is endless, and the result is the illusory body of the pure form. And the mind is the clear light that is inseparable from bliss and emptiness. When these two are merged into one, and their essence becomes one, it is impossible for them to be severed, which is union. Although it can be attained from the first bhumi, at the beginning of the path of meditation, the method of practicing it now is: after generating various experiences of clear light as described above, those experiences are combined with the illusory body and so on, and bliss and emptiness are cultivated. Therefore, with regard to all aspects of bliss and appearance, one should abide in a natural state without alteration, and through recognizing the self-nature that is free from extremes, one should recognize it, and strive to make the non-doing meditation appear in the aspects of bliss and appearance, thereby accomplishing the rainbow body vajra body. After it is accomplished, one should still meditate and practice as before, and if the two are combined, union can be accomplished in this life. If there is no time for meditation and no practice, then at the time of death, one will enter the clear light of meaning, and as a substitute for the bardo, one will accomplish the body of union. Thus, there are forty-one great objects of focus, and in addition, there is one object of focus in the body isolation of the generation stage, fifteen in speech isolation, sixteen in mind isolation, twenty-eight in the illusory body, thirteen in clear light, and one in union, for a total of seventy-four objects of focus. In addition, there is also a tradition of combining speech isolation into the great objects of focus, for a total of sixty-three, or combining mind isolation into four objects of focus, for a total of forty-nine objects of focus. The third part will be explained in detail elsewhere. Here it is said: The path of Vajradhara, who possesses the eight powers, is the path traversed by all the victors, including the bodhisattvas, it is the supreme entrance for all accomplished ones, and it is praised a hundred times by all the wise. It is the master of all tantras—the Guhyasamaja Tantra, its ultimate oral instructions are the five stages. The supreme master of two languages, who has realized them as they are, has written down Marpa's view as it is. From some of the supreme holders of that protector's tradition, most of those who pretend to be wise and accomplished have not truly experienced this path, and my ability to obtain this path is solely due to the kindness of the lama. This was also written at the request of Je Taklungpa Ngawang Nampar Gyalwa, in accordance with the Marpa tradition, truthfully recording both the explicit and implicit meanings.
