Thus he said, to the Teacher, the perfectly complete Buddha Shakya Simha, the emanation of Vajrapani, King Subhachandra requested and inquired: O Teacher of all beings, he called out. The seven empowerments for children entering, and the vase, secret, wisdom, and prajna empowerments, that is, the three higher worldly empowerments, and likewise the unsurpassed fourth empowerment that transcends the world, that is, what is the wisdom of the empowerment meaning of these eleven empowerments, please tell me, which is a general request. For the sake of subduing those who are inclined to a small amount, in order to easily grasp the words and easily understand the meaning, please tell me in brief. What is the purpose of asking? For the sake of supramundane accomplishment, that is, the accomplishment from the eight accomplishments and so on up to the ultimate end of Akanishta, the accomplishment is the worldly accomplishment, and the accomplishment above Mahamudra is the supramundane accomplishment. However, "For the sake of worldly, worldly, transcendent accomplishment," which comes from Dro translation, although there is no corresponding word for "and" in Chinese, and "worldly" does not appear twice, it is not contradictory from the perspective of meaning translation. Because the Buddha's teachings rely on meaning, it is most important that the meaning is free from error and easy to understand. Although this is not the direct language of the necessary connection of this treatise, it would be good to explain the four dharmas such as necessity in the manner of core meaning or derived meaning. Here, the most supreme and unchanging wisdom, the fourth empowerment of ultimate truth, is the main content to be explained, and the methods for accomplishing it are also the content to be explained. This tantra, which possesses one hundred and seventy-four verses, is the explainer. Relying on this treatise, clearly realizing the meaning of empowerment and the method of accomplishment, and easily realizing it, is the necessity. From that, obtaining the accomplishment of Mahamudra, that is, attaining Buddhahood, is the necessity of necessity. The method of accomplishing the wisdom of the fourth empowerment, together with this treatise itself, exists in a relationship of what is to be explained and what explains. Relying on this treatise, understanding the meaning of empowerment without confusion, and practicing it as understood without distortion, thereby obtaining supreme accomplishments. Because the latter arises based on the former, the latter is related to the former, and that is the connection. For example, suppose there is a treasure trove of jewels underground, and because there is this treasure, a sharp-eyed person will say: In this direction, there are such and such characteristics of the treasure. After such a verbal expression appears, some people seeking treasure will have unwavering faith that there are characteristics of treasure in that direction. Because this belief arises, the treasure will come into hand through actions such as digging tools. Just as the latter does not arise without the former. Here, explaining that obtaining worldly accomplishments is necessary, although it seems to rely on Glorious Stainless Light, it is different from it because it is an abbreviated great continuum.
