Small views make no difference, the difference lies in the practice of Bodhicitta and compassion. Great jealousy, harsh words, and evil thoughts, what good is it even if you have a good Dharma lineage and descendants? Even if the way of practicing asceticism and dwelling is good, it is a deceiving stone. Even if the vows of retreat are great, they are empty words. 'You have realized the true nature,' with sweet words and a malicious heart, the deceitful guru indulges you with praise, causing most fools who have not tamed their minds to generate foolish faith. Most ignorant people are happy when praised, while holy beings are pleased with honest words. Those with sectarian bias, stubborn and self-righteous, lose the need for practice if they have not tamed their minds. They only wish themselves well and do not want others to be better than them, secretly engaging in various non-Dharma activities. Going to solitary places is to gain fame, abandoning busyness but desiring the gathering of devotees, doing retreat but hoping for food and wealth, accepting defeat but desiring ultimate victory. Praising others is to be loved, controlling others through pure perception, or to make others decline while oneself prospers, pretending to practice Dharma to spread fame, this is a great sin of deceiving all sentient beings. Therefore, cherish being without falsehood, with inner and outer consistency. Deceiving students for fame, deceiving devotees for gain and respect, claiming to have realized the true nature without having realized it, such arrogance is the enemy of compassion. Speak truthful words, have honest thoughts, abandon arrogance, and hold all beings above oneself. Do not think of others' faults, but reflect on your own, so that Bodhicitta and compassion will grow. Enemies and friends are designated by the mind in this life, without partiality, cultivate loving-kindness and compassion. With compassion for all beings wandering in samsara, we ourselves must seek ways to liberate them. If we can actually benefit others now, do so to the best of our ability, with loving-kindness and good thoughts inseparable, and most importantly, dedicate whatever Dharma practice we do to be a cause for benefiting others. This speech of compassion without sectarian bias is the third. If you want to quickly realize the profound true nature, rely on renunciation with weariness and perseverance, cherish being able to dwell in solitary places, do not be controlled by drowsiness and laziness, and as soon as mindfulness arises, immediately exert effort without delay.

You should diligently practice yoga. When practicing during a session of meditation, do you feel bored and want to sleep, take a walk to relieve boredom? Or when the thought arises that you want to do something else, the dividing line between whether or not virtuous conduct will be accomplished, I think it is at this time, abandoning other things, continue to meditate, and strive to cut off distractions. Even if it is to relieve boredom, if you are controlled by distractions, you will be distracted by it and spend a long time meaninglessly. If you are sick, your physical strength declines, and your body is tired, although you need to rest, but at this time in the depths of your heart, there is no need to modify, just maintain awareness. Do not be swayed by chaotic thoughts, observe whatever appears, such as illness. There is no difference between sessions and in-between sessions, they become the same. The renunciation of remembering impermanence and suffering, the compassion that is not artificial and pervades space, and the unwavering devotion to the Guru, these three are indispensable supports. The preliminaries are refuge, bodhicitta, and the four immeasurables, the main practice is the view and the practice of generation and completion stages, the conclusion is the key points of rejoicing, dedication, and vows, these are the essence of all sutras and tantras. The later thought has not arisen, the former thought has ceased, between the two, do not think anything, protect that uninterrupted clarity and awareness, there is nothing to grasp onto there. Whether you like it or not, happiness or suffering, attachment or aversion arise, or words that arise in the heart and are unpleasant, or hearing, etc., whatever thoughts arise, look at your own face, do not modify, keep it as it is. If you do not recognize your own nature, the mind is like a strand of hair, if you observe it in this way, it is like grass without roots. Self-awareness is the only one that is free from objects. Saying not to cut off conceptual thoughts, purifying in self-nature is nonsense. Whether greed, hatred, or any conceptual thoughts arise, if afflictions arise, observe whatever appears, do not let the three doors of body, speech, and mind be controlled by them, and do not regard it as a fault, but keep it as it is. When afflictions first appear, just being aware, the unspeakable, naked, and clear awareness will appear. Then, the appearance of just afflictions will return to self-nature and become great wisdom. After that, it is very important to be held by compassion. Similarly, it also applies to virtuous thoughts, etc. Whether the nature of mind abides or moves, it will not go beyond the scope of the nature of non-duality. The above is the fourth lecture on the view, practice, and conduct of spontaneous self-liberation. It is difficult to generate virtuous conduct in noisy places.
