From where does one abide therein? One abides in a state of dependence and busyness. All beings should know it thus; it is understanding the meaning of all existence and nirvana. The dharmas of existence and nirvana are one's own mind. Without looking elsewhere, it is the state of certainty, non-thought, and transcendence of mind. In this, there is no need for discriminating thoughts of meditation and non-meditation, Nor is there a need to refute or abandon any signs. In this, doing nothing, not doing anything, that itself will become clear. If discriminating thoughts are not blocked or abandoned, And one does not look elsewhere, that itself will become clear, Then wherever one abides, one will not look elsewhere. Not meditating, not fabricating, it is the nature of non-separation, At all times, understand this meaning; do not conceptualize this sign. Phenomena that arise together with oneself, do not conceptualize this, If one has a mind that conceptualizes other things, one will not find the wish-fulfilling jewel in the ocean. If the grasping of where it comes from and where it abides becomes unborn, Then because there is no cessation at all times, grasping and the grasped do not arise; it is wisdom itself. In its essence, without abandoning defilements, without meditating on that itself, Like an elephant dwelling freely in the forest. The scattered discriminating thoughts of the realm of signs are inconceivable, They do not harm, nor do they cause distraction. Like thieves without weapons, they cannot kill or cut. That sign itself becomes meaningless, Like the eight examples of illusion, make it without self-nature. Whatever is seen is mind; therefore, there is no substance, It does not abide in a mindless mind; all dharmas, Arise from that, appear in that, and dissolve from that, Therefore, there is no other movement in this. In this, just know that itself; do not think about it. Oh friends, the thoughts that arise in the mind, Are not clear at all times. In this, there is nothing to clarify, Free from all disputes, One is liberated by abiding in one's own nature. Like all these who pretend to be enlightened, Are not monks, but fall into the ocean. Do not look at anything else from this, That is the monk who sees everything. Those who are accustomed to falsehood, Cannot escape from this miserable existence. Whoever knows that this river of existence is false, That one will attain the supreme abode. The realm of activity of that yogi, The limbs of gods, mantras, and mudras, If one knows all this, then... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is not in the state of arising and ceasing. If one knows this, one will not see everything. Thus, apart from this (nature), From other realms of consciousness, Nothing will arise. Any sentient being, If one can, in all directions, Not see duality, This person is liberated from all appearances. Anyone who clings to one side, Is someone who is accustomed to subtle conceptualizations of names. Anyone who habitually Changes from this (nature), No matter what he does, It will not be meaningful, The pitiful one will be quickly bound by names. Anyone who is accustomed to Abandoning this (nature) and Other things, His mind will not be accustomed to non-thought. Friends, the non-dual wisdom of awareness, Is the great empowerment of supreme wisdom, Perfect and virtuous lamas, Obtain it in a way that does not require empowerment, This is the supreme Empowerment of yogis, Everything is perfected in a way that does not require attainment. If one does not understand this, the various empowerments of those with wrong views, Will be bound by the conceptualizations of names. In this (nature), everything accumulated from the afflictions and the obscurations of knowledge, Will be completely liberated without the need for wisdom meditation. Because there is no anger, all suffering can be destroyed, In the manner of non-arising, do not grasp anything. In this place where appearances cease, do not focus the mind with clear conceptualization. All inversions and conceptualizations, Will be completely exhausted in the place of the five poisons. Others, by understanding this, can make the net of samsara empty. Rare like the udumbara flower (Sanskrit: udumbara, Romanized Sanskrit: udumbara, Literal Chinese meaning: Auspicious Flower), The essence secret meaning that dispels the darkness of ignorance, No one knows, yet it is clear to all, The meaning abiding in the heart is stainless, It cannot be seen through ascetic practices. Those who can integrate these into perfection, Their limbs are integrated, abiding in the essence of emptiness. Friends, like a strongman and a king, Who can quickly attain being filled (with wisdom)? There is no gradual practice. All dharmas are of one taste in emptiness, You will not attain it by becoming perfect. When no fundamental conceptualization arises about this (nature), At that moment, one will Romanized Sanskrit: niścita, Literal Chinese meaning: certainly) undoubtedly realize non-duality. Just as a worm is bound by crawling, These people are bound by clinging to taste, Who can devour this dense forest? All samsara and nirvana will continuously revolve. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
