The twelve Tänma (steadfast mothers) pray: 'Remember your former vows, accept this offering of medicine, alcohol, and torma, and make the Buddha's teachings flourish and expand. Please fulfill the wishes of the yogi, me.' After praying in this way, visualize that the light from your heart radiates, inspiring the oath-bound protectors and their retinues to remember their former vows and fulfill their duties. Recite: 'Vajra Arali Jah, Vajra Arali Hum, Vajra Titi Dhe, Vajra Bhara Dha, Vajrasa Bya Hum, Vajra Titi Hum, Vajra Mati Hum, Vajra Ting Sa Hum, Vajra Kharali Hum, Vajra Sing So Hum, Vajra Yaksha Phir, Vajra Du Phi Sarana Phat, Ma Dung Bhyo Ma Dung Bhyo, Hum Hum Jah Jah.' Recite these mantras, pray for accomplishments, and recite many mantras for cursing and killing, etc., but here, recite as many of the above mantras as possible. Finally, sprinkle the torma with meat, butter, alcohol, and nectar, and bless it with Om Ah Hum. Recite: 'Om Vajra Yaksha Krodha Hum, Mama Khakha Lala Lele Tata Tete Kharakma Mama Sringdroma Hum Bhyo Hum.' Dedicate three times: 'Twelve steadfast mothers, please partake of this great offering.' Recite: 'Hum, I am Padmasambhava, located above the glorious Samye Qingpu, at the root of the divine lake and the demon lake, the assembly of Tänma bound by oath, some are black Rakshasa women, some are red Yaksha hosts, some are white beautiful forms, some are blue forms of the sky, the twelve great mother goddesses, are the great lords of the land of Tibet. The assembly of Tänma bound by oath, protect Tibet, do not let the eternalist and annihilationist doctrines of the heretics flourish. Protect the yogis who practice secret mantras, do not let them encounter obstacles. Bless the treasures of the great sacred places, make their aspirations firm. Pacify wars and conflicts, do not let diseases and famines occur, protect from hail, frost, rust, and pests. Like protecting children, protect temples and offerings, secluded places and practitioners, and pray to repel enemies, demons, and harm.' If you want to expand, you can recite: 'Hum, the assembly of Vajra Tänma, the twelve links of interdependent origination that are not understood, the pure Dakinis, may the six consciousnesses and six objects flourish, may all good wishes be fulfilled, and may the light of great bliss wisdom blaze forth. Even if transcending the world, still the mother of samsara, even if accomplishing wisdom, still the helper of karma, unobstructed miraculous powers, are intimate friends.
