Then, take everything the Guru says as a reliable basis. Since there is no other refuge than the Guru, think 'Guru, you know.' Visualize your root Guru in true form, residing in the center of a mass of light on the lotus seat of the sun and moon on the crown of your head. Or visualize the primordial protector, Samantabhadra (Kun-tu bzang-po), and visualize the lineage Gurus ascending from the crown of your head, residing like stacked floors. With intense devotion, recite: 'I and all sentient beings as vast as the sky, take refuge in the Guru, take refuge in the Buddha, take refuge in the Precious One, please bless our minds to mature and be liberated. Take refuge in the Dharmakaya, Samantabhadra (Kun-tu bzang-po), please bless our minds to mature and be liberated. Take refuge in the Sambhogakaya, Secret Lord Vajradhara, please bless our minds to mature and be liberated. Take refuge in the Nirmanakaya, Vajrasattva, please bless our minds to mature and be liberated. Take refuge in the Vidyadhara, Garab Dorje, please bless our minds to mature and be liberated. Take refuge in the Guru Shri Singha, please bless our minds to mature and be liberated. Take refuge in Orgyen Padmasambhava, please bless our minds to mature and be liberated. Take refuge in the Dharma King Rinchen Lingpa, please bless our minds to mature and be liberated. Take refuge in the Great Accomplished One, the one named Namkhai, please bless our minds to mature and be liberated. Take refuge in the kind and precious root Guru, please bless our minds to mature and be liberated.' Pray in this way with tears streaming down your face. Afterward, all the lineage Gurus dissolve into the crown of your head, and your body, speech, and mind are blessed indivisibly by the Guru's body, speech, and mind. Relax in this state, and the wisdom of enlightenment will naturally arise. The fourth part is divided into two points: according to the tantric view, distinguishing between tightening the ropes of samsara and loosening the ropes of nirvana. The first point is: in a secluded place, distinguish the ropes of body, speech, and mind. In terms of the body, do as many prostrations and circumambulations as possible. This purifies the obscurations of the body. Then, on a soft cushion, place the soles of your feet together, with your toes on the ground and your knees outward. Join your hands in prayer at the crown of your head, without touching your head, and extend your elbows outward. Keep your body straight, this is the vajra posture. This dispels the obstacles of the body. Finally, relax the key parts of your body all at once. This will feel like your body is collapsing. Afterward, you will not enter the body of samsara again. With your mouth, recite sutras, dharanis, mantras, and many prayers. This purifies the obscurations of speech. Then straighten your body and recite a long Hum --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
