The combined practice of offering and Yangkyab to the White Migön involves arranging offerings that are either elaborate or simple, as available. After completing the ritual, offer the Torma. Bless it with Akarö. Hūṃ! In the first aeon of the past, death was the executioner of all living beings. Black-headed, two-legged humans existed. They killed living beings through various means. For the two-legged humans, twenty-five types of Nāgas were the executioners. Various Nāga diseases sentenced all humans to hell. At that time, in order to subdue the Nāgas, from the heart of Jampal Yeshe Sempa (Mañjuśrī Jñānasattva), a syllable 'Phe' emanated. In the boundary between the world that has passed and the world that has not passed, in the center of the ocean of the self-shining radiance of Dharma, Jampal Nāga Raksha (Mañjuśrī Nāga Demon) manifested. He subdued all the Nāga races. The wisdom Nāga demon has nine heads and is the lord of the virtuous, mad ones. He is also the chief of all the Nāga races. At that time, Jetsün Jampal (Venerable Mañjuśrī) spoke the root of a hundred thousand lineages of Nāgas. He healed the Nāga diseases of beings. Nāga Raksha is in a wrathful form, the Nāga demon death lord has nine heads. He holds the key to all judgments and is the guardian of the Buddha's teachings. He is known as Shinje Chidag Nagpo (Yamaraja, the Black Lord of Death). His tantras and methods of accomplishment are inconceivable. Nāga Raksha is in a peaceful form, and in order to be the protector of all people, he is known as White Migön. His essence is Jetsün Jampai Yang (Venerable Mañjuśrī), and in order to be the protector of all sentient beings, he abides in the form of a worldly god and demon. He offered the life essence to Hayagriva, the Nāga subduer, and to Sangdag Chagdor (Guhyapati Vajrapani), and vowed to protect the teachings, therefore he is known as the White Lord of the Nāgas. Nāgārjuna, Jampal Shenyen (Mañjuśrīmitra), and many other Vidyadharas also commanded, promising to bestow enjoyment and Siddhi (accomplishment) upon those who practice. Guru Padmasambhava appointed him as the guardian of Mangyul Jamyang Lhakhang and Öru Jampa, and also prophesied that he would reside in Markham. On the banks of the Ganges River in India, Lama Palchen Gwalola saw his form and offered the method of accomplishment. Marpa, Dags po, Phagdrupa, Nyagre Sewo, and others made him the protector of the Kagyü lineage. In the last of the five hundred ages, Vidyadhara Migyur Dorje actually showed his form and said, 'Worship and praise me in this way.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

An ocean of milk emanated from the mind, Beneath a canopy of dense clouds, In the center of a palace adorned with jewels, On a throne supported by all the Naga clans, Upon a blooming white lotus and a full moon, To be the protector of us all, The White Lord of the Nagas, As long as we offer and present offerings, May you remain here joyfully and steadfastly! Please be the protector of all beings! According to the oath you made yourself, As promised before Hayagriva, Vajrapani, and Padmasambhava, Please accomplish the tasks I entrust to you! With actual and mind-emanated, Three white and three sweet offerings, And various kinds of Naga medicines, Tree sap, flowers, silk, and colored ribbons, Arrow banners and various kinds of aquatic items, Tsampa, fragrant wood, and incense, I offer clouds of offerings that fill the world.
