The rituals and empowerments of Guru Rinpoche have greatly expanded in various forms, both elaborate and concise. However, because these lineages have become too distant, they have become like stories. In contrast, this concise and close lineage is more powerful in its blessings. This arose from the treasure trove called 'Mind Treasure of the Heart's Expanse' (dgongs gter thugs kyi klong rdol) when Tulku Migyur Dorje (sprul sku mi 'gyur rdo rje) was seventeen years old. As it says in the eighth chapter of the 'Nine Cycles of Teachings': 'A hidden treasure from the realm of Dharma will arise. The teachings of the three kayas will flourish and expand. The mind treasure of the Sugata Buddhas will arise. Limitless Dharma doors will expand the teachings. The mind treasure of the Rigdzin Lamas will arise. The teachings of the ocean of instructions will expand. The crown treasure of the wish-fulfilling jewel will arise. The teachings that fulfill all needs and desires will expand.' Furthermore, in the 'Tantra of the King of Awareness,' it says: 'It is the mind treasure of the Buddhas of the three times. It does not rely on earthen vessels or other containers.' This is the meaning. In general, although this is a mind training lineage, the 'Vajra Garland' (rdo rje phreng ba) of Vajrasana and the 'Hundred Practices of Mitra' (mi tra brgya rtsa) of Mitra Joki can also be practiced like the Kriya, Charya, and Yoga Tantras. Similar to how Vimalamitra practiced like the Anuttarayoga Tantra, this is also in accordance with the Anuttarayoga system. The Anuttarayoga system includes elaborate rituals with elaborations and meditating on the non-elaborate completion of mindfulness (dran rdzogs). As the 'Compendium of Origins' (sdom 'byung) says: 'For the sharp-witted, the momentary appearance is the mandala of meditation itself. Through the yoga of the momentary appearance, one should meditate on the completion stage.' Furthermore, the great accomplished one Drilbupa said: 'Like beings born miraculously, meditate without seeds.' Therefore, this is both the profound generation stage and the examined completion stage. As the 'Commentary on the Difficult Points of the Compendium of Origins' (sdom 'byung dka' 'grel) by Padmacan says: 'For those born miraculously, only the profound generation stage and the examined completion stage are mentioned.' This is in accordance with that. In response to this, the great Jetsun Sakya Pandita criticized, saying, 'Because the generation stage has been mastered, it can be done this way. For beginners, it is not allowed because they cannot clearly visualize the deity.' However, this is just his opinion and not definitive. As the sixth chapter of the 'Lexicon' (mngon brjod) says: 'This is the meditation stage for beginners, perfecting the form in a single moment.' Furthermore, the great accomplished one Pakshi said: 'For ordinary people, it is easier to grasp through meditating on the completion of mindfulness in a moment, so it is more beneficial.' Similarly, in the Manjushri Vajra (jam rdo rje) section of the Vajra Garland, 'Here, in the yoga of completion, blessing the eyes and so forth.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The inviting and sending back of Yeshe Sempa (wisdom being) etc. were not explained. As said by the Great Orgyen (Padmasambhava): 'Merely by remembering, it is completeness itself. This view is called the god of giants. This vajra-like samadhi (meditative absorption), is the supreme of all protections.' Thus, the tantric texts are as well-known as the sun and moon, and are free from disputes. The benefits of this Kunrig (All-Knowing) empowerment, which has a close lineage of oral instructions and profound essence, are as follows: From the very king of tantras that purifies evil destinies, the Bhagavan (Blessed One) spoke: 'Lord of the Gods, listen! Sentient beings who have fallen into the power of hell and other realms, those who commit evil deeds, listen to how they can easily be liberated from the suffering of hell! After drawing the mandala, and likewise in the vase, after reciting one hundred and eight times, the empowerment is designated as supreme. By this, all sins are purified, and from the suffering of hell and so on, one is quickly liberated. One is liberated from sin itself, and having been born into the lineage of pure gods, one will always attain the Buddha and the Dharma, abide in the irreversible stage, and gradually attain enlightenment.' It is said that hearing this is extremely meritorious, for in the tantra spoken from the mouth of the Bhagavan, it is said: 'It will be heard by sentient beings who possess ten virtues, but not by inferior sentient beings. It will draw near to the ears of sentient beings who are devoted to the ten perfections, but not by ordinary sentient beings. It will be heard by sentient beings with pure thoughts and those who have great faith in the qualities of irreversibility. In short, it will be heard by sentient beings who rely on the wisdom of omniscience.' Thus, for the sake of receiving such an empowerment, student, please repeat after me: 'I beseech all the Buddhas of the three times, and especially the Bhagavan Kunrig, to grant empowerment!' Request three times. Furthermore, as it is said in the purification tantra: 'For the sake of benefiting beings, quickly attain enlightenment. May they generate the supreme mind of enlightenment.' Therefore, with devotion, think that the master is the actual Bhagavan Kunrig, and clearly visualize the empowerment substances in front of you. Visualize this condensed mandala, this heap mandala, as the Bhagavan Kunrig, with a white body. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -6a
