When local afflictions cause the wind to increase, and the obstruction of the central channel (Tibetan: དབུ་མ།) causes the clarity of self-awareness to wane. Merit decreases, and all of existence falls into chaos. Seasonal rains cease, and untimely floods erupt. Crop failures, famine, disease, and war follow one after another. Wealth from the borderlands flows into the center, and the wealth-guarding demons become violent. Blessed objects deteriorate, and wrong views and wrong teachings flourish. The guardian deities depart, and Mount Meru (Tibetan: རི་རབ།, Sanskrit: Sumeru, Romanized Sanskrit: Sumeru, Literal meaning: Wonderfully High Mountain) inclines inward. The punishments of the dakinis (Tibetan: མཁའ་འགྲོ།) and charnel grounds (Sanskrit: Śītavana, Romanized Sanskrit: Śītavana, Literal meaning: Cool Grove) become violent. People from the borderlands come to the center, and people from the center wander to the borderlands. Demonic forces thrive, the Dharma declines, and Jambudvīpa (Sanskrit: Jambudvīpa, Romanized Sanskrit: Jambudvīpa, Literal meaning: Rose-apple Continent) becomes connected to hell. At that time, a capable individual who can generate bodhicitta (Sanskrit: Bodhicitta, Romanized Sanskrit: Bodhicitta, Literal meaning: Mind of Awakening) should greatly generate emptiness (Sanskrit: Śūnyatā, Romanized Sanskrit: Śūnyatā, Literal meaning: Emptiness) and great compassion (Sanskrit: Karuṇā, Romanized Sanskrit: Karuṇā, Literal meaning: Compassion), and practice the treasure of the wish-fulfilling jewel (Sanskrit: Cintāmaṇi, Romanized Sanskrit: Cintāmaṇi, Literal meaning: Wish-Fulfilling Jewel). Use skillful means to encourage sentient beings with karma to do good, and according to one's wealth, extensively perform virtuous deeds and increase auspiciousness. Increase wisdom and strength! Samaya (Sanskrit: Samaya, Romanized Sanskrit: Samaya, Literal meaning: Vow)! རྒྱ་རྒྱ་རྒྱ (Tibetan, no corresponding Sanskrit, no corresponding Romanized Sanskrit, Literal meaning: Increase, increase, increase)! The external support is the essence of the container, such as five-colored silk, grains, medicines, etc., which must be clean and pure. The internal support is the essence of the essence, where the channels and energies (Sanskrit: Prāṇa, Romanized Sanskrit: Prāṇa, Literal meaning: Life Force) of the yogi (Sanskrit: Yogin, Romanized Sanskrit: Yogin, Literal meaning: Yogi) are increased. The secret support is the self-arisen essence, where awareness (Sanskrit: Vijñāna, Romanized Sanskrit: Vijñāna, Literal meaning: Consciousness) and bodhicitta (Sanskrit: Bodhicitta, Romanized Sanskrit: Bodhicitta, Literal meaning: Mind of Awakening) are stable and can be transformed at will. The intermediate connection is that the astrology is auspicious and the combination is good. The immediate cause is that the patron and retinue all have faith and reverence, and there is no disharmony. From beginning to end, without being interrupted by other matters, it is completed with pure practice and pure intention, so that what is done is meaningful. In this way, entering into the profound activity of benefiting others—the practice of the Auspicious Treasure—is divided into three stages: the preliminary practice is to accumulate the supports; the main practice is to practice and generate power; and the subsequent practice is to apply the activity according to different capacities. First, on an auspicious and good waxing day, use a pure container, a pottery jar without cracks, breaks, or stains, of a suitable size, capable of holding from eighteen handfuls to full. The jar is adorned with drawings of the Four Guardian Kings and the Eight Auspicious Symbols, with a swastika (Tibetan: གཡུང་དྲུང་) at the bottom, and the mouth is marked with a double vajra (Sanskrit: Viśvavajra, Romanized Sanskrit: Viśvavajra, Literal meaning: Double Vajra) and the seed syllables (Tibetan: ས་བོན།) of the Five Buddha Families (seed syllables: Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit: ॐ, Romanized Sanskrit: Oṃ, Literal meaning: Om), Padma (Tibetan: པདྨ, Sanskrit: पद्म, Romanized Sanskrit: Padma, Literal meaning: Lotus), Amitābha (Tibetan: ཨ་མི་དྷེ་ཝ, Sanskrit: अमिताभ, Romanized Sanskrit: Amitābha, Literal meaning: Infinite Light), Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: Hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum), Kṣa (Tibetan: ཤ, Sanskrit: क्ष, Romanized Sanskrit: kṣa, Literal meaning: Ksha)). Inside the jar, place the essence that serves as the foundation, which is a model of Mount Meru (Tibetan: རི་རབ།, Sanskrit: Sumeru, Romanized Sanskrit: Sumeru, Literal meaning: Wonderfully High Mountain) made of bodhi wood (Sanskrit: Bodhi, Romanized Sanskrit: Bodhi, Literal meaning: Awakening), representing the life force of samsara and nirvana (Sanskrit: Nirvāṇa, Romanized Sanskrit: Nirvāṇa, Literal meaning: Liberation), with the seed syllables (Tibetan: ས་བོན།) of the Five Buddha Families at the top, and mantras and prayers for increasing the power of the four elements on the four sides, and the letters of the five elements at the base. To increase the essence of earth, collect soil and gold from many sacred sites in India, Nepal, and Tibet. To increase the essence of water, collect water from auspicious lakes such as Lake Manasarovar (Tibetan: མ་ཕམ) and a hundred perennial lakes, and... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
