Merely reciting the mantra awakens the heart stream of the deity, and light radiates from the mantra, accomplishing both aims (benefit for oneself and others). All the blessings and powers of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are gathered into the nectar of wisdom, condensed within the vase in the hand. Om Ah Hum (藏文: ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།, 梵文天城体: ओम् आः हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ āḥ hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Ah Hum). Eh Ho Shuddhe Shuddhe. Yam Ho Shuddhe Shuddhe. Bam Ho Shuddhe Shuddhe. Lam Ho Shuddhe Shuddhe. Ram Ho Shuddhe Shuddhe. Eh Yam Bam Lam Ram Shuddhe Shuddhe. Ah Ah Ah Svaha! At the end of reciting one hundred and eight times, offer with Om Vajra Argham, etc. Hum! Outwardly appearing as the five goddesses, inwardly as the five wisdom Dakinis, secretly as the five mothers of the families. I prostrate and praise the one who perfects the three kayas!' Thus praise. Then perform the protector Torma offering, and complete everything from the blessing of the Tsog to the enjoyment of the Tsog. Second, the actual removal of defilements has nine steps: blessing the ransom, confession, washing away the defilements, external removal, sweeping, expulsion, transportation, elimination, and throwing the effigy. The first is: Sprinkle water on the ransom, and in front of the ransom, visualize five black 'Re' letters, which dissolve into light, from which arise five black Reba (a type of grass) equal to three thousand worlds, within which are five 'Bhye' letters that completely transform. In the center is the defilement lord of Buddha Dakini, dark blue; in the east is the defilement lord of Vajra Dakini, white; in the south is the defilement lord of Ratna Dakini, yellow; in the west is the defilement lord of Padma Dakini, red; in the north is the defilement lord of Karma Dakini, green. All of these are wearing black silk clothes, holding brooms to sweep away defilements in their hands, and riding black defilement horses. To the left of these, there are five 'Bhye' letters that completely transform into five defilement effigies: in the center is the effigy of the defilement lord of Buddha Dakini, dark blue-black, wearing black silk hair; in the east is the effigy of the defilement lord of Vajra Dakini, white, wearing white silk hair; in the south is the effigy of the defilement lord of Ratna Dakini, yellow, wearing yellow silk hair; in the west is the effigy of the defilement lord of Padma Dakini, red, wearing red silk hair; in the north is the effigy of the defilement lord of Karma Dakini, green, wearing green silk hair. All of these are holding red arrows and spears in their hands, and riding black defilement horses. Five black 'Tri' letters completely transform into five black defilement people, carrying black hen's eggs. From their mouths, recite: 'Trina Duna Drok! Shana Duna Drok! Raksha Duna Drok! Mushi Bhye Pung Be! Trina Sa Du Drok!' Recite in this way, dispelling curses and defilements.
