Amidst the lotus and solar discs, feet upon a seat woven with a hundred thousand nāgas, fierce spirits, and local deities. Visualize a form like Mount Meru. At the heart, from the syllable 'raṃ', arises a sun disc; from the syllable 'baṃ', arises an ocean. There, contemplate the Garuḍa. From the syllable 'trāṃ' come forth various vajras. In the center of the ocean arising from the syllable 'baṃ', from the syllable 'trāṃ' arises the great Mount Meru, its four sides of precious essence. Upon it, from the syllable 'khroṃ' arises the Garuḍa, its form of crystal hue, with wings of lapis lazuli. Its beak of meteoric iron blazes with light. Eyes wide open, with a single face, holding snakes of hatred in its hands, with an arrogance of devouring in its mouth. On the forehead, a white vajra Garuḍa; on the throat, a red lotus Garuḍa; at the heart, a blue Buddha Garuḍa is clear; at the navel, a yellow quality Garuḍa; at the secret place, a green activity Garuḍa. The attire and hand implements are like the main deity. Emanating countless further emanations, it devours the nāgas of the four castes. Then comes the invocation: Khroṃ! From the peak of Mount Meru created by the five elements, from the palace blazing with self-existing light, wrathful kings who subdue whatever is to be subdued, powerful Garuḍas, I invite with faith and commitment. Come forth! Approach! Assembly of wrathful Garuḍas! Wisdom, great Garuḍa, blazing, please descend! Descend to subdue demons and obstacles! Descend to subdue spirits! Descend to subdue nāga demons! Descend to subdue local deities! Descend to subdue the arrogant! Descend to subdue the eight classes of beings! Descend to subdue the gyalpo spirits! Descend to subdue the nyen spirits! Descend to subdue the earth spirits! Descend to subdue the oath-breakers! Descend to accomplish the yogi's intentions! Upon the seat of a hundred thousand intertwined local deities, nāgas, and nyen spirits, upon the seat of blazing sun, moon, and lotus, powerful and mighty Garuḍa assembly, please be seated! GARUḌA EH YE HI SA MA YA DZA, SA MA YA TIṢṬHA LHAN! Then comes the prostration: Khroṃ! Embodiment of the qualities of all sugatas of the three times, wisdom, supreme horse, inseparable from power, deity of the five Garuḍas combined, I prostrate! GARUḌA ATI PŪ HO, PRATI DZA HO! Offering: Khroṃ! Wrathful, great Garuḍa, deity embodying the sugatas, to you I offer outer, inner, and secret offerings: outer, inner, and secret, actual and mentally created offerings. Offering the essence of meaning, consuming the remains of harmful corpses, please consider with compassion and accomplish the activities of the yogi! Hrih Hyagriva Garuda Argham Padyam Pushpe Dhupe Aloke Gandhe Naivedya Shabda Puja Ho! Maha Pancha Rakta Balimta, consume the ignorance-flesh of the harm-doers, consume the hatred-bones, consume the desire-blood! Then comes the praise and supplication: Hrih Khrom! The supreme horse of blazing Garuda, the embodiment of all Sugatas! With three faces and six arms, white on the right, green on the left, and blue in the center, the body is dark blue, and the wings blaze like fire. The first two hands hold a vajra and a noose, the middle two hands devour the snakes of the four families, and the last two hands spread the wings of the Garuda. Three horse heads blaze like fire on the crown of the head, and the five aspects of body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities manifest in forms to tame beings. The wisdom bird, the king Garuda, whose body is as clear and white as crystal, burns, suppresses, and destroys harm-doers with the light of fire. Wings like beryl swords, burning and cutting earth lords, nagas, and spirits. Feathers sharp as razors, cutting the life force of harm-doers and obstructing spirits. Striking the right wing causes the sun and moon to fall to the ground, striking the left wing crushes Mount Meru into dust. The right eye subdues kings with boiling gold water, the left eye subdues rakshasis with churning silver water. The right horn burns stars and nagas with blazing fire, the left horn subdues constellations with the deluge of the eon. Adorned with five snakes on the limbs, subduing nagas and evil spirits, sparks of vajra fire flash from the feathers. The two hands put great snakes into the mouth, subduing naga spirits, the mouth roars like thunder, frightening the nagas. The tail feathers, like turquoise vajras, subdue earth spirits, the sound of the Garuda causes the heart of the nagas to tremble, claws like burning iron hooks draw in harm-doers, the beak draws in the naga race like meteoric iron. The wrathful hair rains down vajra hailstones, from the nostrils erupts the fire of the eon, a thousand lightning bolts clash, from the ears come thunderous roars that shake heaven and earth, the blood-red waves of the eyes swirl upwards, causing Indra above to be frightened and tremble, the wings flap in the sky, subduing the eight classes of beings. Praise to the powerful, mighty, wrathful king Garuda! Khrom!
