Even if one practices, power will not arise; even if power arises, there is no time to practice. One does not practice for a long time, giving up due to lack of perseverance. In the degenerate age, one is deceived by words, like summer flowers. Seeking many gurus, one engages in fragmented oral instructions. Collecting many scattered texts, one begins all sorts of actions. Like summer flowers, one ultimately destroys oneself. One's own body is not yet mature, and one arrogantly takes life. One does not possess the signs of retreat, yet one rushes into action. Unable to complete practice, one blames the Dharma protectors. Like summer flowers, one ultimately causes oneself to have a short life and many illnesses. Even if one engages in action, it is meaningless, merely a source of delusion. Because there is no faith in one's mind, the yogic conduct becomes chaotic. Collecting many books, one abandons the guru with schemes. One harbors resentment towards the guru, generating a competitive mind. One arbitrarily alters empowerments and vows. Like summer flowers, one is destroyed in this life and falls into hell in the next. Therefore, in the degenerate age, there are many monks and nuns who break their vows. May I not encounter those who are controlled by afflictions! May I encounter those who have perseverance in practice and benefit sentient beings! From the mountainside of Zangzang Lhadrak (place name), extract the profound treasure. At that time, in order to subdue many fortunate sentient beings. One hundred and one kinds of extraordinary oral instructions. Having taken them from the treasure, through actual practice. Accumulating vast merit, uphold the Dharma in this age.
