In the lotus-adorned pure land, the luminosity of Dharma naturally abounds. The Bodhisattva companions are excellent and kind. Therefore, deceased so-and-so, partake of this food and depart in peace. Like a wish-fulfilling treasure filling the sky, may your enjoyment be inexhaustible. Without strife and without harm, may you freely enjoy. Partake of these pure and abundant objects, including the five desirable qualities, as lasting sustenance, inexhaustible enjoyment, and food dedicated to the roots of virtue. Do not cling to this samsara. Contemplate the emptiness of mind, the meaning of no birth and no death, and proceed to the pure land of great bliss. The fire lit is a common element, without distinction. Upon the lunar disc, visualize the deity being practiced abiding. The short 'Ah' (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal Meaning: Ah) syllable of wisdom fire below the navel, burns away sins and suffering. Burning the afflictive skandha body and mind body, all obstacles are burned away. May the pure Bhagavan so-and-so, manifest in true form. Abiding in the midst of a gathering of light. With the rays of light from my heart, invite Vajrasattva (Tibetan: རྡོར་སེམས་, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्रसत्त्व, Sanskrit Romanization: vajrasattva, Literal Meaning: Vajrasattva) and other Bhagavans. Invite countless white deities to merge, may all sins and diseases be pacified. Invite Manjushri (Tibetan: འཇམ་དབྱངས་, Sanskrit Devanagari: मञ्जुश्री, Sanskrit Romanization: mañjuśrī, Literal Meaning: Manjushri) and other assemblies of Bodhisattvas, invite immeasurable yellow deities to merge. May merit and wisdom increase, invite Vajravarahi (Tibetan: ཕག་མོ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्रवाराही, Sanskrit Romanization: vajravārāhī, Literal Meaning: Vajravarahi) and other assemblies of Dakinis. Invite countless red deities to merge, may one gain control over wind and mind. Invite Heruka (Tibetan: ཧེ་རུ་ཀ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हेरुका, Sanskrit Romanization: heruka, Literal Meaning: Heruka) and other assemblies of wrathful deities, invite immeasurable dark blue deities to merge. Subdue the four maras, exhaust afflictions, burn and purify the impure skandhas, elements, and sources of perception in the object of visualization with the fire of the five bodies and five wisdoms. Begin by calling out the name of the Lama, from formless and soundless to without Dharma, recite the mantra or seed syllable (Tibetan: ཀཾ་ཀ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: kam ka, Sanskrit Romanization: kam ka, Literal Meaning: kam ka) of any deity and burn. Although it is said that transference of consciousness is ejecting the consciousness of the deceased from the crown aperture in the form of the syllable 'Ah' (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आः, Sanskrit Romanization: āḥ, Literal Meaning: Ah) at the time of death, this is not the case in our tradition. Instead, the consciousness of the deceased and the wisdom hero are inseparably abiding on the lunar disc, lift it into the sky, and recite 'Hoh' (Tibetan: ཧོཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: होः, Sanskrit Romanization: hoḥ, Literal Meaning: Hoh). Deceased one, listen, from here to the west, in the great bliss realm, there reside the protector Avalokiteshvara (Tibetan: སྤྱན་རས་གཟིགས་དབང་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अवलोकितेश्वर, Sanskrit Romanization: avalokiteśvara, Literal Meaning: Avalokiteshvara) and the Buddha Amitabha (Tibetan: སངས་རྒྱས་སྣང་བ་མཐའ་ཡས་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अमिताभ, Sanskrit Romanization: amitābha, Literal Meaning: Amitabha).
