Gather bone rosaries, fierce substances for the Tsokhor (assembly offering) of Thunrig (fierce lineage), weapons, phurba (ritual dagger), guns, and all necessary items. Also, collect all necessities, including good medicine for healing illnesses. The second part is the actual practice sequence, which is as follows: Like general accumulation and purification, strive with many methods. In particular, receive empowerment again from the Lama. If you cannot find a qualified one, take it yourself. Hold the Thun (session) of the Hundred Syllable Mantra to restore broken vows. Perform special Tsok (assembly offering), confession, recitation of sutras, and accumulation. Strive for purification, such as burnt offerings and pacification. In particular, take refuge, make supplications, and offer the Tsokhor. Then, do your important tasks, say what needs to be said, and give commands without leaving anything out. Think about it again and again, and don't be attached to worldly affairs. Making a firm decision is key. Then, stop other activities and set boundaries: choose an auspicious time, stars, and date. For the outer tantras, perform Sang (smoke offering) and Torma (ritual cake offering), and strive to prevent obstacles and give strict commands. Pile stones outside the door of the retreat room, and write the following on a wooden sign, placing it at the top: 'Kye! All beings, high, low, and intermediate, listen to me! I have abandoned the activities of Samsara (cyclic existence) and entered the outer solitude, which is the leisure of the gods; entered the inner solitude, which is the generation and completion stages; entered the secret solitude, which is occupying the palace of primordial purity. The three doors (body, speech, and mind) are diligent in the generation stage, mantra, and Samadhi (meditative concentration). Do not talk to others, do not speak idle words, and do not think about other things. Only be diligent in practice, so no one, high or low, should enter without permission. If you enter without permission, you will surely suffer in this life and the next. I swear by the truth of the Three Jewels and the Three Roots! The truth is infallible, please listen!' Practice with the previous Dharma friends and do not associate with others. Then, do not talk to anyone, and stop speaking. Put aside daily tasks and perform Tsokhor and other activities. Outside the retreat room, draw a common Rakshasa (demon) image and suppress it as described in the ritual. Place a barrier at the door and secure it with a juniper phurba. At the top, write the root mantra and fierce mantra of the Yidam (personal deity) and wrathful deity: 'Turn back all obstacles to practice!' Tie the fierce substances together and place them in the room. Perform the generation stage, completion stage, and consecration, etc., which are important activities. Then, with a strong determination, vow: until this practice is completed, no matter what happiness or sorrow, good or bad happens, I will not deviate from practice, I will make a firm decision. On the lintel of the retreat door, place your protective deity, draw a fierce image, and write your own mantra in its heart. The base for writing is a wooden sign, and these contents are also written on the back and then hung up: 'Hum! Protector, you!' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If one dies before completing the practice, violating the oath will result in punishment, causing their head to shatter into a hundred pieces. Having done this, one must not transgress this boundary thereafter. Then, the three roots (སྐུ་གསུང་ཐུགས་,kaya-vak-citta,body-speech-mind), each of body, speech, and mind, should be turned inward. On the seat, in the center of various vajras, write the name 'Tishta Lhana' (ཏིཥྛ་ལྷན་,Tiṣṭha Lhana). Then, prostrate three times before the support, join your palms, and make these vows: 'O! The supreme Three Jewels (དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ,dKon-mchog gSum,ratna-traya,Three Jewels), the three roots (རྩ་བ་གསུམ,rtsa-ba gsum,tri-mula,Three Roots), abiding in the ten directions, be my witnesses, and listen to my plea! Until I have completed this practice, from the aspect of body, apart from necessary activities and the practice itself, activities such as reading, writing, and composing, and all kinds of good or bad, big or small tasks, I will abandon, and wholeheartedly engage in the practice alone. From the aspect of speech, apart from recitations related to the practice, and all kinds of good or bad, big or small words, I will abandon, and wholeheartedly engage in the practice alone. From the aspect of mind, apart from contemplating the meaning of the practice, memories of the past, expectations of the future, and so on, all distractions, confusions, and pursuits, I will abandon, and wholeheartedly engage in the meaning of the practice alone. Except for what is necessary for the practice. If I violate these vows, may I suffer in this life and the next! If I violate them unknowingly, then I will confess. It is crucial to act according to these vows. There are three great obstacles to practice: body, speech, and mind; if there are activities, words, recitations, and thoughts other than the practice, one will surely become distracted and lazy. Therefore, it is crucial to abandon them as if they were poison. Furthermore, cutting hair and nails, shaking the seat, washing the face, spitting, blowing the nose, laughing, speaking nonsense, doubting, holding wrong views, being lazy and distracted, being indolent, sleeping, being content, being shortsighted, and so on, all these things that weaken the practice should be abandoned. Day and night, strive solely in meditation and practice. Even when waking up from sleep at night, remember clearly the deity (ལྷ,lha, deva, deva), mantra (སྔགས,sngags, mantra, mantra), and samadhi (ཏིང་འཛིན,ting-'dzin,samadhi,samadhi). At this time, some with wrong views say this: 'The generation stage (བསྐྱེད་རིམ,bskyed-rim,utpatti-krama,utpatti-krama) and completion stage (རྫོགས་རིམ,rdzogs-rim,sampanna-krama,sampanna-krama) need only be remembered, if practiced continuously, one will become dull.' This is because they do not understand the meaning and are confused. Instead of responding to everything only once, why is it necessary to exert such diligence and effort? Therefore, even when practicing the generation stage, keep the image of the deity clear in your mind without distraction. This image appears but has no inherent existence, clear like a rainbow or a reflection in a mirror. This is clear and without inherent existence, the pure generation stage that eliminates the extremes of permanence and annihilation. Whatever you visualize, it is crucial not to be distracted. If the deity's appearance is not emptiness, but is flesh and blood...' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
