To abide without specific focus in the state of emptiness is the supreme protective circle. This is not to be undone except on the final day of the retreat, and at the beginning of each session, a reminder is needed to prevent obstacles from arising. It is said that this is necessary. Thereafter, whatever has been placed under observation will not encounter new situations, and the giving and receiving of items should be avoided. Next is the arrangement: facing east in a face-to-face manner, on a flat ground or platform, sprinkle nectar mixed with fine wine. Draw a mandala with blessed pigments, or on a covered platform, in the center of a painted cloth or appliqué, place a vase filled with essence, and on top of the vase, place a skull cup filled with nectar, covered with a mirror on which a cross-shaped Dharmodaya is drawn with sindhura, surrounded by the root mantra 'Ah Harini Sa' in the center and four directions. Above, erect a red silk tent. Arrange three tormas adorned with meat and wine, as well as medicine-rakta, water, and the five sensory offerings. In front of oneself, place a vajra bell, hand drum, skull drum, inner offering, and especially a human thighbone trumpet, large meat, guggul, and all other necessary items. Then, before entering the session, purify the mindstream with the common preliminary practices, and then recite the Guru's supplication as much as possible. After the preliminary torma, command, and boundary cutting have been completed, bless the offerings by purifying with incense. Hūṃ! Visualize the charnel ground as a supreme pure land, etc., and perform refuge, bodhicitta, confession, etc., according to the text. The second part is the main practice, which specifically includes Guru Yoga and the practice of the generation and completion stages. The first part is: from the crown of one's head, etc., to 'place a mirror.' The second part is the main practice of the generation and completion stages, which is divided into two: the co-emergent yoga of transforming the three kayas into the path on a single seat, and the subsequent yoga of integrating other activities into the path. The first is further divided into three: transforming appearances into the path of the Nirmanakaya Vajravarahi, transforming sounds into the path of the Sambhogakaya Vajravarahi, and transforming ultimate emptiness into the path of the Dharmakaya Vajravarahi. The first is further divided into: fixing the meaning and key points of the meditation in mind, and how to meditate after understanding. The first is: visualizing the outer world as a pure Buddhafield, such as the three lines 'towns, markets, and monasteries,' etc., and contemplating this as an antidote to attachment to good and bad appearances. The outer world is a pure Buddhafield, and the inner beings are pure Vajravarahi. To abide without specific focus in the state of emptiness is the supreme protective circle.
