English

‘The manner and distinction of conduct, on the earth and the Pāramitā (Perfection), Goddess, you are the witness.’ ‘Śākyasiṃha (Lion of the Śākyas), the protector, how he subdued the armies of Māra (Demon), likewise may I also triumph over the armies of Māra, and draw the maṇḍala (sacred circle).’ Having thus requested, the goddess granted permission and dissolved into it. The second torma (sacrificial cake) is offered to the specific lords of the earth, consecrated with the syllable A (藏文:ཨ་,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:Unborn). ‘Whoever dwells here, gods and nāgas (serpent deities), yakṣas (demons) and rākṣasas (ogres), or others, for the sake of the maṇḍala, this place I request, please grant it.’ Thus the activity is requested, and the vajrakīla (ritual dagger) departs to its own place. Purification: On that ground, smear cow urine, fragrant scents, and the five amṛtas (elixirs), reciting the heart mantra of the main deity or just the syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable), contemplating the ground as the nature of space. Seizing: Drive a sengdeng (acacia) stake into that ground, and from the Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Seed syllable) in my heart, rays of light emanate and dissolve into the stake, which instantly transforms into the form of Hayagrīva (Horse-necked One). Om, Lotus, End, Maker, Hayagriva, Hum) seven times. Contemplate that the rays of light arising from the stake pervade all the earth, and I have taken possession of it. This section on earth rituals is mostly not done in painted form, so if that is the case, then at the beginning of the sādhana (spiritual practice), offer a white torma (sacrificial cake) to the earth lords, then enter into self-generation yoga, and then proceed to the invocation of the deity. In order not to interrupt the lineage, there is no harm in elaborating, so it is recorded. Second, abiding in the deity has three parts: the deity, the vase, and the disciple. First, in the center is the main deity, behind that are the ten wrathful deities, behind that are the eight nāgas (serpent deities), in the outer courtyard are the planets and stars, and at the four doors are the door goddesses. Having definitely established the signs of the deity's abode, draw dots of fragrant scent, square for the main deity and round for the retinue. Arrange clusters of flowers there, and surround the perimeter with offerings. If the aforementioned self-generation yoga has not been done, then do it during the recitation. Purify the flower clusters. From emptiness, arise the charnel ground palace, complete with all qualities, in the center, a very red A (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:Unborn) syllable, the source of dharmas (teachings), at the end, an iron wheel with ten burning spokes, and outside that, eight petals, etc., in the center of the fierce charnel ground palace, on a lotus, sun, and moon, the Bhagavan (Blessed One) who subdues all arrogance, the Father. Three faces, six arms, four legs, terrifying, from that to contemplating the great non-dual vajra (diamond scepter) bliss, on the ten outer spokes are the ten wrathful deities, on the eight petals are the eight nāgas (serpent deities), at the four doors of the outer courtyard, the eight planets and four door goddesses, etc., clearly visualize the assembly of deities of the maṇḍala (sacred circle) wheel. In the three places of such clear visualization, marked with Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Om Ah Hum), etc., as it says in the manual, from the invocation to the praise. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
