In the meditation of India, there are three samādhis: the Cause Samādhi, the All Samādhi, and the Root Samādhi. Through these three, one purifies and connects the habitual tendencies of the three states of birth, death, and bardo. Of these, the Cause Samādhi purifies death, making the Dharmakāya (法身) the path; the All Samādhi purifies the bardo, making the Saṃbhogakāya (报身) the path; and the Root Samādhi, together with the retinue of the mandala of the fruit, purifies the activities of existence and various karmas, making the activities of the Nirmāṇakāya (化身) the path. Finally, the retinue of the mandala is gathered into the clear light, and arising from that symbolizes the purification of the habitual tendencies of future existences dependent on rebirth, and the enactment of benefit for beings from within the Svabhāvikakāya Moreover, the suffering that is to be purified by the path of mantra is in essence nothing other than ordinary appearance and attachment. Appearance is this impure vessel and essence of confused mind, and attachment is the continuous stream of thoughts that follow one after another. By entrusting the connection to thought and leaving it in its own place, the appearing aspect is raised as a deity. Although the thought of connection is called the subtle inner attention, it is not an ordinary thought because it is not continuous. Through this, all impure appearances are purified into emptiness by that samādhi, and from the state of emptiness, the force of compassion arises, and the clear appearance of the deity's form is held in the mind all at once. If it is not clear in that way, then examine the extremes of sinking and excitement. If sinking, then focus on the parts of the body in a descending order, and if excited, then focus on the parts of the body in an ascending order. Finally, by practicing to be clear all at once, first the form of the deity appears vividly in the mind. Then, it becomes clear to the senses as if there were perceptible signs. Then, all impure appearances, including one's own body, vanish, and one remains single-pointedly in the clear appearance and pride of the deity. These three are called the clarity of the object of mind, the object of appearance, and the object of attachment. In that way, when the three objects are clear, each part of the body and each small ornament emits a clear appearance. By practicing control over the deity's form, whether large or small, many or few, long or short, etc., one becomes a giant deity, and one learns to be comfortable no matter how one meditates. In that way, when the clear appearance of the support and the supported arises, one knows that the mind itself is originally pure as a deity and cannot be sought from elsewhere, and that the mind and the deity's form are inseparable. Moreover, it is essential to know that clarity and emptiness are inseparable. Having ascertained these, one straightens the text, progressing from the three samādhis to the praises. Next is the recitation of mantras. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

According to the root tantra, it is said: 'Practice the three kinds of recitation of body, speech, and mind.' First, the rosary blessing precedes. First, the recitation of the body: contemplate yourself as the great glorious Heruka parents, generating the definite understanding that the nine deities are spontaneously perfect in nature. In particular, the ornaments of the main deity, even the subtle details, are clearly visualized, and then recited. Second, the recitation of the mind: visualize in your own heart, on top of a moon disc, an eight-petaled precious lotus, as blue and transparent as lapis lazuli. On the eight petals, eight green and red seed-syllables, the size of half a mustard seed, surround it. Inside it, from the letter A, a moon disc the size of a needle tip. On top of that, the wisdom mind, the hero Vajrasattva, is the size of a bean. His body is white, with one face and two arms, the right hand holding a vajra at the heart, and the left hand holding a bell resting on the hip. In his heart, from the letter MA, a sun disc the size of half a lentil. On top of that, in the center of a blue vajra, the blue letter HUNG (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:HUNG), like a fine drawing, surrounded by eight RULU seed-syllables. Outside the center of the vajra, also surrounded by eight seed-syllables. After contemplating in this way, recite the mantra, from the RULU emanate the rays of the five wisdoms, together with the breath, radiating in the ten directions. It strikes the hearts of the eight mothers, stimulating the samaya, gathering all the siddhis, and in accordance with the breath, dissolving into one's own heart, like a wheel of fire rotating. Third, the recitation of speech: again, from the RULU in the heart, light emanates, arising from the purified life force, on the eight-petaled lotus tongue, from the tip of the vajra to the end, in the center of the lotus, on the red moon disc, the red letter AH (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:AH) surrounded by eight RULU seed-syllables. From between the throat and tongue, light radiates, pervading all the worlds in the ten directions. Contemplate that all appearances become the mandala of the great glorious Heruka, proclaiming the sound of RULU, and then recite. Thus, if one can clearly visualize these three contemplations simultaneously, there is no need to divide the practice into three sessions. If one cannot, then divide one session of practice into three parts, practicing the body, speech, and mind separately, visualizing the previous stages of contemplation in order, and reciting with one-pointed concentration. The mantra to be recited is common to all three practices: OM RULU RULU HUNG BHYO HUNG OM RULU RULU HUNG BHYO HUNG). The root tantra, after corresponding the eight seed-syllables with the eight mothers one by one, says: 'The combined great glorious Heruka parents, clearly visualize the nine deities of the meaning of the oral instructions.' So it is. Moreover, HUNG --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
