Imagine slaying, cutting, cleaving, burning, and destroying all, including the evil spirits and Dharma protectors, reducing them to dust. This is the slaying, the three-layered tent. Then, the recitation and visualization: Transform yourself into a wrathful deity. At your heart, upon a sun disc, dwells the essence of primordial wisdom sattva, the Hūṃ syllable (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ), dark blue in color, radiant and vibrant, poised to act. Encircling it is the ten-syllable root mantra, the letters fiery in color, radiating red light, rotating clockwise like a chain of torches. From the heart's wisdom mantra garland, emanate inconceivable red flames, burning away the sins and obscurations caused by past karma and the immediate harms of diseases and demons, like feathers consumed by fire. From the pores of your skin, radiate light outwards, burning away all impure appearances. The outer world, the container, transforms into the center of a great blazing fire of wisdom. All sentient beings, the contents, transform into a vast assembly of wrathful deities of awareness and skill. From the fire and the wrathful assembly, the sound of the mantra 'Ururu' (藏文音译) resounds. Contemplate that the basis of all impure, deluded appearances—appearances, sounds, thoughts, and discriminations—has transformed into nothing other than the play of pure wisdom deities, mantras, and samadhi. With the confidence of this view and the fierce pride of the deity, single-mindedly recite the ten-syllable root mantra like a bee buzzing around a hive, making the sound 'Diriri' (藏文音译). Regarding this, there is no explanation of purifying with emptiness through Svabhava, generating from the Lhasa Bon (Tibetan indigenous religion), merging with the wisdom deity, and empowerment and sealing. As the scripture says: 'Mind itself is unborn, clear and empty; from the beginning, its own nature is the body of the deity; inseparable are the vows and wisdom; there is no need for generation and merging, nor for empowerment and sealing; mere remembrance is perfection itself; this is called the supreme view deity; this vajra-like samadhi is the supreme of all protections.' The above is what the scripture says. Furthermore, for the purpose of protection and so on, the root sadhana says: 'If you wish to protect the object of focus, body, speech, and mind should be concealed; the body is hidden within the tent of protection; the speech is hidden between the life and the heart; the mind is hidden in the center of the bindu; this is the uncommon, special essence; no one will see such a state.' That is, within the tent of the wrathful deity, visualize yourself as the yidam you are practicing, with the guru at the crown of your head, the men on the right, the women on the left, the children and spouse in front, and the wealth behind. Gather what you want to protect from their throats, transforming the power of speech into the form of the syllable Āḥ (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:Āḥ), and place it before the wisdom mantra garland at your heart. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Between the life force and the heart chakra, visualize the syllable ཨཱཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah) transforming into a sphere of light. From the heart of the one to be protected, visualize the essence of awareness as a green syllable ནྲྀ (Tibetan, Devanagari: नृ, Romanized Sanskrit: nṛ, Literal Chinese meaning: Nri), residing within a ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) syllable bindu, at the center of a conjoined sun and moon amulet box, this is the crucial point. Unless protection is needed, there is no need to specifically visualize it. Like this, recite the root mantra at least ten million times, diligently reciting it at every session, and then conclude the session. The Torma ritual at the end of the session is: arrange a Torma adorned with flesh and blood in a clean container, beginning with the syllable 'Om' etc., and finally the blessings of one's own tradition. Bless it seven times with Om, ཨཱཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah), and ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum). In the sky above the Torma, visualize a burning dark blue triangular mandala, with the glorious Black Hayagriva and his retinue of the eight classes of arrogant beings descending, from the invocation to the offering. Visualize the wrathful deity drawing the essence of the Torma with his three-pointed vajra tongue, feeling satisfied and pleased. Combine the root mantra with the Torma mantra, offering it by reciting three or seven times. After praising and entrusting the activities, recite the Sanskrit vowels and the Hundred Syllable Mantra, and finally recite ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཀྲོ་དྷ་ཧ་ཡ་གྲཱི་བ་སིདྡྷི་ཀུ་རུ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ། (Tibetan, Devanagari: ॐ वज्र क्रोध हयग्रीव सिद्धि कुरु स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ vajra krodha hayagrīva siddhi kuru svāhā, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, Vajra, Wrathful, Hayagriva, Accomplishment, Do, Svaha) three or seven times. Recite 'Offering to the Great Powerful Retinue' etc., merging all of samsara and nirvana into luminosity, and again arise from the deity of the session, performing dedication and auspicious prayers etc. At this time, perform daily virtuous deeds and take food and drink etc. The general and special Torma offerings to the Dharma protectors and the Tsog offerings can be performed at this time or at the end of the evening session, whichever is convenient. Then comes the evening session: first perform refuge, bodhicitta, and the seven-branch offering, as well as blessing the offerings, then enter the main practice, performing recitation and visualization. The way to conclude the session is the same as before, and then perform the Dharma protector Torma ritual etc., whether combined or not. Finally, fall asleep in the state of the completion stage, or focus the mind one-pointedly on a clear blue ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) syllable in the heart, and then fall asleep, entering the yoga of sleep in whatever way is comfortable. In the morning, at dawn, arise from the state of emptiness or from the self-display of the seed syllables, in the form of the deity. Offer the Torma of the base obstacles. First perform the lineage supplication, refuge, bodhicitta, and offering blessings etc., until the end of the session, just like the previous evening session. In between sessions, perform all the necessary virtuous deeds. The second is the morning session, the third is the noon session, and the fourth is the evening session. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
