Generation Stage: Thus, purify the habitual tendencies along with the seed syllables of the six realms, transforming them into the form of the syllable ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, meaning 'Great Compassion'), and visualize the deceased transforming into the body of Avalokiteśvara, the Lord of Freedom and Great Compassion. Twelfth, Empowerment: In detail, one should be brought into the mandala for empowerment as in the empowerment ritual. In brief, from the syllable ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, meaning 'Wrathful') at one's heart, radiate light and invite the empowerment deities—the Five Tathagatas and their retinue, བཛྲ་ས་མཱ་ཛཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: वज्रसमाजा, Romanized Sanskrit: vajrasamāja, meaning 'Vajrasattva')—inviting them to descend into the space in front. Offer with Oṃ Vajra Argha Pratīccha Svāhā (Tibetan, Devanagari: वज्र अर्घं प्रतीच्छ स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: vajra argha pratīccha svāhā, meaning 'Vajra offering, please accept, Svāhā') up to Oṃ Śabda (Tibetan, Devanagari: शब्द, Romanized Sanskrit: śabda, meaning 'Sound'). Praise with verses such as 'The Dharmakaya is like the sky.' Pray to Vajradhara: 'For the sake of saving beings, grant empowerment, as you bestow the source of merit, please bestow it upon this one as well.' After praying in this way, the Tathagatas abiding in the sky rejoice in the act of empowerment and empower with countless manifestations of offerings. Oṃ, glorious Buddha body, indestructible three vajras, today to all Buddhas, grant the empowerment of the body, Kāya Vajra Abhiṣiñca Oṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: काय वज्र अभिषिञ्च ॐ, Romanized Sanskrit: kāya vajra abhiṣiñca oṃ, meaning 'Body Vajra Empower Oṃ')! Āḥ, glorious Buddha speech, indestructible three vajras, today to all Buddhas, grant the empowerment of speech, Vāka Vajra Abhiṣiñca Āḥ (Tibetan, Devanagari: वाक वज्र अभिषिञ्च आ, Romanized Sanskrit: vāk vajra abhiṣiñca ā, meaning 'Speech Vajra Empower Āḥ')! Hūṃ, glorious Buddha mind, indestructible three vajras, today to all Buddhas, grant the empowerment of mind, Citta Vajra Abhiṣiñca Hūṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: चित्त वज्र अभिषिञ्च हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: citta vajra abhiṣiñca hūṃ, meaning 'Mind Vajra Empower Hūṃ')!' As you recite, empower with the stream of nectar of the five wisdoms, purifying the defilements of clinging to the three doors as ordinary, manifesting the wisdom of the three vajras. The remaining water forms a crown on the head, the lineage lord bestows the crown, and the assembly of deities abiding in the sky dissolves into the disciple. Oṃ Supratiṣṭha Vajra Ye Svāhā (Tibetan, Devanagari: सुप्रतिष्ठ वज्र ये स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: supratiṣṭha vajra ye svāhā, meaning 'Well established Vajra Ye Svāhā')! Throw flowers. Thirteenth, Offering Food: Arrange various foods and drinks in front, purify with Raṃ Yaṃ Khaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: रं यं खं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ yaṃ khaṃ, meaning 'Fire, Wind, Space'), visualize the wish-fulfilling offerings filling the sky, bless with the Akashagarbha mantra, and recite: 'To the deceased, offer the five desirable qualities—beautiful forms, pleasant sounds, fragrant smells, delicious tastes, and soft touches—as ornaments of great bliss. May you enjoy the pure sense objects without attachment, and increase the wisdom of great bliss.' Thus, dedicate. Fourteenth, Offering and Prayer: After dedicating in this way, I... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then visualize that, in this way, all merits and virtues are transformed into a vast cloud of offerings, pure in the three aspects, to offer to all the deities in the mandala. Oṃ! Dharmakāya, immaculate, infinite light, Lord of the world, protector of beings, I offer to the mind of the deceased, may it dissolve into the realm of ignorance. Of the pure Bodhicitta, Vairochana, the great snow mountain lake, I offer the aggregates of the deceased, liberating the impure form aggregate. Like the immutable vajra, Akshobhya, lord of the vajra family, I offer the consciousness of the deceased, may he be liberated in the realm of anger. Like the immaculate lotus, Amitābha, the immortal king of light, I offer the perception of the deceased, may he be liberated in the realm of desire. Like the wish-fulfilling jewel, the source of all qualities, I offer the feeling aggregate of the deceased, may he be liberated in the realm of pride. Perfecting all activities, Amoghasiddhi, the dharma of action, I offer the volitional aggregate of the deceased, may he be liberated in the realm of jealousy. The body, speech, and mind of the Buddhas of the three times, the assembly of deities, the totality of all Sugatas, I offer the sense bases of the deceased, may they be liberated in the unborn realm of the three realms. The nature is primordially pure, through the activity of the union of the two accumulations, may the beings wandering in the bardo, be swiftly drawn by the hook of compassion. Fifteenth, Transference of Consciousness: After praying in this way, visualize that immeasurable rays of compassion, like iron hooks, radiate from the hearts of the deities, drawing the pure consciousness of the deceased, transforming it into the essence of stainless wisdom, into the form of the syllable (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ, 汉语字面意思:Great compassion), drawn from the crown of the head, and dissolving into the inconceivable realm of dharma. Sixteenth, Burning of Residue: Visualize burning the residue of the aggregates of afflictions and habitual tendencies with the fire of wisdom. Especially at the time of death, if the support is a real corpse, then immediately after the transference of consciousness, perform a peaceful fire offering to purify it; if it is a substitute effigy, then combine it with the essence of burning the residue with the fire of wisdom. (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ, 汉语字面意思:Seed syllable). In the hearth of the dharma realm, with the firewood of the aggregates of self-grasping, ignite the fire of wisdom, burning the afflictions and habitual tendencies of the deceased. This is the wish of arising and ceasing, the fire without place or form. This is the fire of self-born wisdom, burning the discriminations of self-grasping and names. In reality, all that is burned and all that burns, are without effort, spontaneously enlightened. Effortlessly, spontaneously accomplished Dharmakāya. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
