According to tradition, guide the disciples by purifying the Pure Land of Amitabha (Infinite Light). After the work of the master is completed, to qualify you, first offer the Mandala. Signal them to offer the Mandala. Through the light of pure faith, pray wholeheartedly, please repeat the following three times: Om! Supreme compassionate protector! Amitabha and all the holy assembly! Please look upon me, the helpless one, with compassion! Please perform the deeds of the Buddha! May the suffering of samsara and the evil realms, and all sins and obscurations be pacified! Please guide me to the path of enlightenment with the light of pure wisdom! (Repeat three times) In order to purify the mindstream, all the places where we reside become the pure Land of Bliss (Sukhavati), possessing perfect splendor. And this dwelling is also located in the center of a vast palace manifested by the Bodhisattva Cintamani (Wish-fulfilling Jewel). In the space in front, on a precious throne supported by peacocks, there are various lotus and moon cushions. The protector Amitabha, with a red-colored body, one face, and two arms, is in the meditation mudra, holding a bowl filled with nectar. He wears the three Dharma robes, in the deep red color of monastic robes. The light of his form and characteristics pervades the sky. His voice possesses sixty melodious qualities. His mind is focused on boundless samadhi. Relying on the lush shade of the Bodhi tree, he abides in the vajra posture. On his right is the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig), and on his left is Vajrapani. Surrounding him are countless Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Shravakas, Arhats, Dharma protectors, and worldly guardians. In their presence, oneself and all other sentient beings, with body, speech, and mind united, take refuge and generate Bodhicitta. Thinking of these, please repeat the following three times: Namo! Guru Protector Amitabha! Supreme Three Jewels and all the Buddhas! I and all beings, until enlightenment! With one-pointed devotion, take refuge! (Repeat three times) Hum! In order that all sentient beings who were once mothers may attain the state of Buddhahood! I will abandon all evil deeds, accumulate all virtues, and constantly generate the altruistic Bodhicitta! (Repeat three times) Again, visualize oneself and others transforming into bodies as numerous as dust particles, prostrating, making offerings, etc., accumulating merit through the seven-limb practice. Please recite the following: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From 'May all these merits, etc., be dedicated to Bodhi,' recite the seven-branch prayer three times or once. Then, according to the words of the Infinite Light Sutra: 'Ananda, any son or daughter of good family who thinks, 'How wonderful it would be if I could see the Tathagata Amitabha in this very life,' should generate the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. With a mind of supreme aspiration, they should direct their minds properly to be born in that Buddha-field, cultivate roots of virtue, and dedicate them completely.' Thus, taking the vow of Bodhicitta is definitely the main cause for purifying the Buddha-field. Therefore, join your palms and, with one-pointed devotion, repeat the following three times: From 'Bhagavan, Tathagata,' etc., to 'Do much benefit to sentient beings,' recite three times as in the Pure Land ritual. Generating the mind of enlightenment and making aspirations is the supreme attainment of goodness. Therefore, cultivate self-joy and encourage others to cultivate joy. Repeat the following: From 'Today, my life,' etc., to 'May the gods and demigods rejoice,' recite once as in the Pure Land ritual. Thus, through purifying the mind-stream, light radiates from the hearts of the Buddha and his retinue, touching you. In an instant, in the presence of Bhagavan Amitabha, on a lotus flower with a fully blossomed stamen and a lunar seat, you are transformed into the form of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, planting in your mind-stream the seeds of cause and effect for being born in the Sukhavati Pure Land, and becoming a worthy vessel. Then, from the hearts of the Tathagata and his retinue, emanate countless Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Imagine that the goddesses of knowledge hold vases filled with the nectar of wisdom and bestow empowerment upon you. Holding the vase, recite: 'Om, like a sesame seed pod, all the victorious ones, holding the auspicious vase, bestow empowerment. May all defilements and the two obscurations of knowledge be purified, and may I be endowed with the five bodies and five wisdoms. Om Padma Dhari Hum.' If you wish to elaborate, at the end of the mantra, recite: 'Om Hum Tram Hrih Ah Kalasha Abhisincha Hum.' Thus, through empowerment, the three obscurations, along with their habitual tendencies, are purified. To stabilize the seeds of the state of body and wisdom planted in the mind-stream, recite the Bhagavan's prayer. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
