For the purpose of laying the foundation, students, you should meditate on the form of Amitabha (Infinite Light) as the main deity and his retinue of three in this way: You are on a lotus and moon cushion, Amitabha, the protector, is red in color, with one face and two arms, with hands in meditative equipoise, holding a begging bowl, and wearing Dharma robes, seated in the full lotus posture. To his right is Avalokiteshvara (Lord of the World), white in color, with one face and four arms, hands in prayer mudra, and holding a rosary and a lotus in his right and left hands, standing on a lotus and moon cushion. To his left is Vajrapani (Holder of the Vajra), the powerful one, blue in color, with one face and two arms, holding a vajra and a bell in his right and left hands, standing on a lotus and moon cushion. Surrounded by countless Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Shravakas, and Arhats. From the three places (body, speech, and mind) of the three main deities, light radiates from the three seed syllables (Tibetan: འབྲུ་གསུམ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: त्रय अक्षर, Sanskrit Romanization: traya akshara, Chinese literal meaning: three syllables), from the realm of Sukhavati (Land of Bliss), the assembly of Amitabha's deities descends like a blizzard, merging into the students. Hum! (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) All the deities of Amitabha, without exception, are invited to this place, please bestow great blessings! Please bestow the supreme empowerment upon these fortunate and faithful ones! Please eliminate wrong views and obstacles to life! Om Amitabha Hrih! (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཨ་མི་དྷེ་ཝ་ཧྲཱི, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ अमिताभ ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ amitābha hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: Om, Amitabha, Hrih) Vajra Aveshaya A Ah! (Tibetan: བཛྲ་ཨཱ་ཝེ་ཤ་ཡ་ཨ་ཨཱ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्र आवेशय आ आ, Sanskrit Romanization: vajra āveśaya ā ā, Chinese literal meaning: Vajra, please descend, A Ah) Recite seven times, perform incense offering and music. Then place the vajra on the head, and pray for it to be firm and immovable: Tishtha Vajra! Sanskrit Romanization: tiṣṭha vajra, Chinese literal meaning: Remain Vajra) Then, holding the arrow banner in your hand, visualize that from the body of the Bhagavan Amitabha, five swift goddesses emanate, dancing joyfully in the realm of interwoven rainbows, pouring empowerment with the vase of longevity in their left hands, and waving the arrow banner in their right hands. As the arrow banner is waved, the essence of the outer world and the essence of the inner sentient beings, as well as the essence and merits of all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Dakinis, and Dharma protectors, all the accomplishments of longevity are gathered and merged into your bodies and minds. Hum! (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) Bhagavan Amitabha, the protector, one face, two arms, red in color, hands in meditative equipoise holding a begging bowl, two legs seated in the vajra posture. The five swift goddesses emanate, holding longevity vases and waving arrow banners, gathering the essence of the elements and merging into the students, restoring all losses of life and merit. Hum! (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) When the arrow banner is waved to the east, the essence of wind gathers, rainbow green light shines, in the center is the wind goddess, one face, two arms, holding a green arrow banner, holding a vase, dancing. Green light shines, dance is joyful. When the arrow banner is waved to the south, the essence of fire gathers, rainbow red light shines, in the center is the fire goddess, one face, two arms, holding --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
