Thinking that all the enjoyments of beings, whether they are internal enemies, friends, or neutral, and all the life, life force, merit, and accumulated and unaccumulated virtues of the intermediate being, are not just words, but from the bottom of my heart, I offer them to the Protector Amitabha (无量光佛), along with his retinue. Thinking like this in my mind, I recite in my mouth: 'I and others, body, speech, and mind, the three times, and all the collections of virtues, along with the precious mandala and the excellent offerings of Samantabhadra (普贤), I offer them to the gurus and the Three Jewels (三宝) with my mind focused. Please accept them with your compassion and bless me.' And so on, reciting as many words as possible of the general mandala practice, and offering with clear focus. This is the fourth short session. Thus, four short sessions combined make one long session, which is the first Dharma session of training the mind on the path of accumulation. In the center of one's own Jambhala (财神) body, which is clear and bright, there is a red conch shell facing upwards, like a crystal, free from turbidity. At the heart, there is a white essence drop of consciousness, very bright, about the size of a skylark's egg. In Sukhavati (极乐世界), in front of Buddha Amitabha (无量光佛), there is also a clear precious lotus with a bud. Then, as before, perform the seven branches several times, which is the first short session. Then, a white ray of light like a crystal tube emerges from the urna (白毫) of Buddha Amitabha's (无量光佛) forehead and enters into my body, causing immeasurable joy and bliss. This is the second short session. Again, a thin ray of light with a sharp tip like a hook emerges from the urna (白毫) of Buddha Amitabha (无量光佛) and comes back through the previous light tube. As soon as it passes down from my Brahma's aperture (梵穴) and touches the essence drop at my heart, it is immediately taken up. In an instant, it is drawn to Sukhavati (极乐世界) and the essence drop enters into the center of the lotus in front, and the light tube gradually disappears. The outer shell of the body grows taller and taller, rises into the sky, and becomes a great cloud of offerings, offering to the victorious ones and their sons, and a continuous rain of food, drink, clothing, medicine, fruits, and jewels falls upon sentient beings, relieving their suffering. This is the third short session. The form of one's own mind, the essence drop, enters into the lotus bud and transforms into a beautiful and pleasing form of a Bodhisattva (菩萨) divine child. Immediately, the rays of light from Buddha Amitabha (无量光佛) touch the lotus, and the lotus fully blooms, and one thinks that one is actually seeing the face of the Buddha. This is the fourth short session, and one long session is the stage of joining the path of transference. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The second Dharma session. Visualizing oneself as a Bodhisattva, beholding the face of Amitābha (Sanskrit: Amitābha, meaning 'Infinite Light'), one's heart is filled with joy and bliss, and immeasurable faith and reverence arise. Thus, one prostrates, confesses sins, and offers a maṇḍala. Performing the seven-branch practice in sequence is the first short session. Then, Amitābha extends his right hand, like an elephant's trunk, with the palm filled with hundreds of auspicious marks, and places it on my head, prophesying: 'Son of noble family, before long, you will attain the state of complete and perfect enlightenment for the benefit of sentient beings.' Having received the prophecy, I obtain great joy and visualize myself adorned with the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks of a Buddha, this is the second session. Then, to accomplish immeasurable benefit for oneself and others, with great joy, one visualizes offering Amitābha with supreme clouds of offerings, and after reciting the offering cloud mantra three times, one recites the offering verses from the *Ratnakuta Sutra*: 'The offerings are mostly splendid offerings...' etc., making offerings. Offering flowers with a mantra that blesses the flowers, one visualizes the flowers swirling like a parasol on the Buddha's head, this is the third short session. Then, without moving from that place, one emanates hundreds of bodies, entering hundreds of Buddha-fields. Making pleasing offerings to each Buddha, receiving one gate of samādhi from each Buddha, and entering into and arising from it, etc., freely obtaining hundreds of qualities, and primarily practicing the perfection of giving, one contemplates benefiting hundreds of sentient beings, this is the fourth short session. These four short sessions combined are one great session, a stage of refreshing the mind in the Path of Seeing (Sanskrit: Darśanamārga), the fourth Dharma session. Up to this point is the actual practice of the fundamental visualization of purifying the Buddha-field. Visualizing oneself as a Bodhisattva adorned with the corresponding marks, abiding in Sukhavati (Pure Land) before Amitābha, as before, one visualizes emanating thousands, then hundreds of thousands, then millions, tens of millions, and even hundreds of millions of bodies in sequence, entering into that many Buddha-fields, and with pure intention, offering clouds of offerings to thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions, tens of millions, and even hundreds of millions of fully enlightened Buddhas. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
