This empowerment lineage originates from the great Karma Chakme, who regarded this practice as essential. Now, to perform such a special empowerment, the preparations that the master should do have been completed. As a disciple, to receive this profound empowerment, please offer the mandala. (Indicates offering the mandala) Then, with palms together, holding flowers in your hands, pray before the inseparable presence of the root guru and the principal deity of the mandala, Palchen Shinje Shed (Great Wrathful Yama Destroyer). Please repeat after me: 'Kye ho! To all the victorious ones! Holder of the secrets of body, speech, and mind, may the master have compassion for me! With the iron hook of immeasurable compassion, please draw me from the ocean of suffering. Please lead me into the supreme mandala of the body, the peaceful and subdued mandala.' (Recite three times) To symbolize that you have not previously entered this mandala, please cover your face with a red cloth. Om Chakshu Bandha Waramanaya Hum. As a token of meeting the deities of the mandala, please visualize receiving a garland of five-colored flowers. Ah Kam Bira Hum. At the beginning of entering the mandala, it is crucial to purify the mindstream. Therefore, visualize the mandala of Palchen Shinje Shed in front of you, with the root gurus, yidams, and dakinis of the ten directions and three times appearing like clouds, surrounding the mandala. In their presence, in order to confess sins, take refuge, generate bodhicitta, accumulate merit, uphold vows, and dedicate the merit, please repeat after me: 'Cutting off faults, perfecting all qualities, possessing wisdom and compassion, please listen! I and all other sentient beings confess all sins, obscurations, faults, downfalls, and regrets. I take refuge in the infallible protector. I generate the supreme bodhicitta. I accumulate supreme merit and wisdom. I firmly uphold all vows. I dedicate all merit to the great bodhi.' (Recite three times) Then, the master says: 'In this great city of liberation, the supreme mandala of the Buddha, not just anyone is qualified to enter. Can you protect the vows?' In response, please repeat after me: 'Having completely liberated from the great river of uninterrupted suffering, having entered the city of liberation, even if it costs my life, I will protect the vows.' If so, please listen with joy: Far from the wrong path and the inferior path, surpassing the incomplete path, this is the path to definitely attain Buddhahood in this life. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

‘May the Lama please him with teachings!’ Thus it is said. To have them throw flowers into the mandala, this mandala itself, like an image reflected in a mirror, clearly appears in the second mandala of Yamaraja, the Slayer of Death. Although the essence is a manifestation of the same wisdom, without good or bad distinctions, may the flower fall upon whichever yidam deity is connected to their respective karma. Thinking this, and repeating these words, one should throw the flower: ‘This pure flower of awareness, I offer with devotion to the deities of the mandala. May it fall upon the yidam deity connected to past karmic connections!’ Flower, receive, hoḥ) Have them throw the flower, and bestow a secret name that is in accordance with their lineage, making them a yidam. Generally: Because your flowers have fallen in the center, the secret name is called ‘Wrathful Vajra,’ who is the supreme deity Manjushri Yamaraja, Slayer of Death, so take him as your yidam deity, and he will protect you from the fears of this life, the next life, and the bardo, and you will quickly attain enlightenment. Thus it is said. Encourage the removal of the blindfold that obscures ignorance. From beginningless time until now: ‘Child, because of the dimness of ignorance, your eyes, which see the true nature, have been blinded, so today I open your eyes of wisdom. Look at this mandala, and accomplish great meaning!’ Eye, enter, phaṭ) Unveiling the blindfold, indicate the deity: Above the four elements and Mount Meru, a firestorm of the eon blazes, and in the center, completely surrounded by a vajra fence and eight great charnel grounds, in the center of various lotuses, in a charnel ground palace of immeasurable expanse, in the center of a four-spoked wheel with a dharmodayā, upon a seat of buffalo, elephant, lotus, sun, moon, and arrogant enemy demons, the Great Glorious Yamaraja, Slayer of Death, dark blue, with six arms, adorned with glory and charnel grounds, embracing the consort Vetali inseparably, with armor deities in the five places. On the four spokes, the Yamaraja, Slayer of Death, of the vajra, jewel, lotus, and karma families, embracing their consorts. Surrounded by the retinue of Dharma protectors, Yamarajas, and hosts of gings, demons, accountants, executioners, and so forth, countless emanated male and female servants shining like the sun and rays. In the outer environment, hundreds of thousands of dakinis, gings and rakshasas, Ishvara, Burning Mother, sisters, and so forth, an inconceivable host of arrogant ones, appearing in uncertain colors and magical displays. With the power and ability to destroy even the three realms in an instant. Such is the mandala with the deity and the support. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
