Praise to the Guru! Hum Hum Hum! Visualize yourself as the Guru, in the center of a light drop at your heart, Padmasambhava (Lotus-Born) and his retinue of three, clearly and brightly manifest. At your heart, the Hrih (seed syllable) is surrounded by mantras, may all wishes be quickly fulfilled! Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum! (Body, Speech, and Mind, Vajra Guru Lotus-Born, Accomplishment Hum) Om Ah Karma Pakshi Hum! (Body, Speech, and Mind, Karma Pakshi Hum) Om Vajra Pani Hum! (Vajra Hand Hum) Om Vajra Krodha Haya Griva Hum! (Vajra Wrathful Horse-Neck Hum) Om Vajra Vairochani Ye Hum! (Vajra Vairochani Ye Hum) Om Maha Kala Guna Hrida Hum Phet! (Great Black One Guna Hrida Hum Phet) Om Ruru Roro Tsapala Ashuk Mema Hum Ma Bhayo Jah Jah! Om Vajra Sadhu Samaya Waka Tram Tram Shini Kramani Samaya Sadhu Tri Jah Jah Hum Bam Hoh! The above is the heart mantra for the benefit of beings. Visualize the Guru deity mandala in front, from their hearts, forms, letters, implements, and rays of light, fall like rain, and dissolve into yourself. Body, channels, wheels, the four are filled with light, instantly receiving the four empowerments. Kaya Waka Chitta Abhisincha Hum! (Body Speech Mind Empowerment Hum) The Guru visualized in front dissolves into your heart, the mandala retinue dissolves into light into yourself. This is also the state of non-discrimination, beyond thought, and inexpressible. Next is receiving the empowerment: first perform bathing and offering the mandala. Recite the Guru's biography, take refuge, generate Bodhicitta, visualize the disciple as the deity, invite blessings. Place the Vajra on the disciple's head: Tishta Vajra! (Stay Vajra) Then hold the vase: Hum! In the vase that appears as a container, emptiness is filled with nectar. Appearance and emptiness are the Guru's Mahamudra, may you receive the empowerment of the clear and empty body! Recite after the mantra: Kaya Abhisincha Om! (Body Empowerment Om) Then hold the white, red, and blue Hum syllables: Hum! Sound and emptiness are inseparable, the indestructible white Hum syllable; awareness and emptiness are united, the diligent red Hum syllable; clarity and emptiness are spontaneously present, the blue Hum syllable. Sound and emptiness are the Guru's Mahamudra, may you receive the empowerment of the Guru's speech! Recite after the mantra: Waka Abhisincha Ah! (Speech Empowerment Ah) Hold the Vajra dagger: Hum! The Vajra dagger of the mind of the five wisdoms, the Vajra dagger of the spontaneous accomplishment of the three bodies, burn all kinds of conceptual thoughts to ashes, liberate ignorance and wrong views into the Dharmadhatu. Bliss and emptiness are the Guru's Mahamudra, may you receive the empowerment of the Guru's mind! Recite after the mantra: Chitta Abhisincha Hum! (Mind Empowerment Hum) Then hold the mirror: Hum! Your own mind is like a wish-fulfilling jewel, the self-luminous light of the five wisdoms. Fulfilling all needs, the fruit ripens, the source of merit is the Mahamudra, may you receive the empowerment of the Guru's qualities! Recite after the mantra: Ratna Abhisincha Bhrum! (Jewel Empowerment Bhrum) Then hold the victory banner: Hum!
