Ema! Lama Kuntu Zang (Ema! Guru Samantabhadra), embrace De-tong Kuntu Zangmo (Bliss-Emptiness Samantabhadri); The skill of united method and wisdom blazes, the sound of great bliss shakes the ten directions; All victorious ones, gathered as one, enter the crown of the head in union as father and mother; Through the path of Avadhuti, nectar falls from the sky from father and mother; It dissolves into the crown of your head, disciple; the four chakras are gradually filled; May you obtain the empowerment of the four joys and wisdom! Pour the nectar! Then, the wisdom empowerment: holding the consort, say these words: Hūṃ! In this mandala of the bhaga of wisdom, the dharmakaya guru is like the sky; The non-dual clear light surrounds it, blue rays of light spread to all directions; Hūṃ! This is the consort of wisdom, the twelve links of interdependence are pure from the beginning; The Buddha said that you should rely on her, various methods without attachment; Through the union of the chakras, practice great bliss; May you quickly obtain the supreme fruit, and attain Buddhahood! Then, the word empowerment: in detail, know it as the essence of wisdom; In brief, do it like this: having entered into samadhi, say these words: Hūṃ! In this mandala of ultimate clear light, the nature of emptiness; Clear and pure, without defilement, ungraspable and unspeakable; A A A! A is the A of no birth (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:Unborn); the body endowed with the five wisdoms; Ultimate clear light, indestructible and unchanging, beyond words, thoughts, and expressions, Emaho! Without taking or leaving; Rest in the uncontrived state without distraction; this empty nature of your own mind; Is the unborn dharmakaya; the clear and pure nature; Is the unceasing sambhogakaya; without ceasing, all things arise; Is the unwavering nirmanakaya; the three kayas Are the radiance of awareness that is naturally present; look at this meaning and meditate on this meaning; Son, look at the nature of your mind; having looked, you do not see it, rest in that state; The nature of anger --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Behold the nature of hatred; by its emptiness, it is free from hatred; this is the mirror-like wisdom. Behold the nature of delusion; by its emptiness, it is free from delusion; this is the wisdom of equality. Behold the nature of desire; by its emptiness, it is free from desire; this is the discriminating wisdom. Behold the nature of jealousy; by its emptiness, it is free from jealousy; this is the all-accomplishing wisdom. Behold the nature of pride; by its emptiness, it is free from pride; this is the wisdom of the dharmadhatu. The five poisons purified are the five wisdoms; they are the self-display of self-aware emptiness. Examine this meaning and meditate on it; in one lifetime, Buddhahood will be attained, and the power of self-aware display will be obtained. There will be no fear or dread; what need is there to mention the pacification of suffering? This is the word empowerment. Thus, having fully bestowed the four empowerments, by the vase empowerment, the obscurations of the body are purified, and one is empowered to practice Mahāyoga (Great Yoga), achieving the Nirmāṇakāya (Emanation Body). Secondly, by the secret empowerment of speech, the obscurations of speech are purified, and one is empowered to practice Anuyoga (Subsequent Yoga), achieving the Sambhogakāya (Enjoyment Body). Thirdly, by the wisdom empowerment of knowledge, the obscurations of mind are purified, and one is empowered to practice Atiyoga (Supreme Yoga), achieving the Dharmakāya (Truth Body). Fourthly, by the word empowerment, the obscurations of the three doors are equally purified, and one is empowered to practice the wisdom of Dzogchen Kadag Lhundrub (Great Perfection, Primordial Purity, Spontaneous Fulfillment), possessing the fortune to achieve the indivisible three bodies, or the Svābhāvikakāya (Essence Body). Thus, having received the complete four empowerments of the great mandala of the guru in one sitting, the root of mantra is empowerment, and the root of empowerment is samaya (vow). If explained extensively, as stated in the Samaya Bumde (Hundred Thousand Sections on Vows), in brief, the common vows of the five families in Vajrayana, and the fourteen root downfalls, and essentially, the vows of body, speech, and mind, with the devotion of seeing the guru as the Buddha being the essence of all. From the root text, Vajra Verses: 'Why even practice the yidam, it is the door of blessings; other than the guru, there are no dharmas; all gather in the devotion to the guru; especially the life-essence of Vajrayana; with this, there is life; without this, there is no life.' Therefore, whatever happens, whether difficult or easy, happy or sad, one must not abandon devotion to the guru and the samaya (vow). Consider the guru who is greatly kind to oneself as the embodiment of Padmasambhava (Lotus Born), the gathering of all Buddhas. Thus, taking the guru's samaya (vow) as precious as life as the basis for all vows and commitments.
