In each stage of 'Sa re' (ས་རེ་རེའི་,sa re re'i), one must purify the conceptual thoughts that cling to 'Shar drol' (ཤར་གྲོལ་,shar grol, Eastern Liberation). In the stage of 'Ger drol' (གཅེར་གྲོལ་,gcer grol, Naked Liberation), one must purify the conceptual thoughts of non-mentation. In the stage of 'Rang drol' (རང་གྲོལ་,rang grol, Self-Liberation), one must purify the conceptual thoughts of not knowing the nature of feeling. In the stage of 'Yong drol' (ཡོངས་གྲོལ་,yongs grol, Complete Liberation), one must purify the conceptual thoughts of not knowing the nature of emptiness. In the stage of 'Ye drol' (ཡེ་གྲོལ་,ye grol, Primordial Liberation), one must purify the conceptual thoughts of emptiness losing its essence. After these conceptual thoughts are purified, how does one integrate these experiences into oneself? There are three ways: the view cuts off the habits of the city, the instructions rest like the king of mountains, and the realization is that the three realms are completely liberated. First, there is the spontaneously present wisdom, whose essence is not established in any way, whose nature is clear and pure, and whose compassion arises in any way. The meaning is self-knowing and self-empty. In the realm of the great primordial purity, all appearances of samsara and nirvana are merely play and ornamentation, naturally appearing as great self-liberation. Therefore, in the great expanse of emptiness, which is not established in any way, from the power of the spontaneously present five lights, countless plays of outer and inner appearances arise. From the power of the play of compassion, the inner mind and mental events are also composed of the eight consciousnesses, appearing as the power of awareness. Therefore, all outer objects, the intermediate body, and the inner mind are merely the magical display of groundless appearance and emptiness, transcending all extremes of truth and falsehood. Therefore, one's own awareness, this spontaneously present wisdom, is enlightened and pure from the beginning. All aggregates, elements, and sense bases should be understood as Buddhas who are spontaneously present from the beginning. As it is said in 'The Lion's Complete Power': 'The five poisons are transformed into the five wisdoms, the five objects are transformed into the five light bodies, the five aggregates are transformed into the five Buddhas, and the five elements are understood as the five mothers. The three realms themselves are the Buddha-fields, and the non-dual view is one's own nature.' And as it is said in 'The Pearl Rosary': 'All aggregates, elements, and sense bases are liberated into the lords of their respective families.' At that time, the afflictions are purified in their own place without being abandoned or remaining, just as clouds clear in the sky or as the turbidity of water clears by itself. The fundamental natural state is the way the Dharma naturally abides, never having been mistaken in the beginning, not remaining in mistake now, and the key to not being able to be mistaken in the end is manifested. This is the Dharmakaya of awareness abiding in its own place, the uninterrupted expanse, the natural way of abiding, the fundamental natural state, the natural face of the empty and unborn, the self-appearing Dharmakaya of the yogi, and the realization of the three realms being primordially pure. It has reached the supreme realm of the Dharmakaya. The flame in the heart of Vajrasattva... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The text states: 'Know that all the fruits of the result do not revert from the three bodies (Sanskrit: Trikāya).' Coarse behavior and rash actions, relying solely on verbal pronouncements, such a dharma is not what is being referred to here. The distant Kama (Tibetan), the near Terma (Tibetan), and the profound Pure Vision (Tibetan: Dag nang) teachings, these three are clearly explained in the great treatises of the Nyingma (Tibetan) school. The essence of the wisdom holders (Tibetan: Rigdzin Thugchud), the life-force of the Dakinis (Tibetan: Khandro Sogtig), the heart-seal of the Dharma protectors (Tibetan: Chosung Nying gi Gya can), possessing the blessings of the lineage, and the exceedingly profound instructions, these are the best of the best. It is not appropriate to mix these with the inferior works of foolish individuals who are boastful and only engage in empty talk. One must stake one's life, make practice the core, and disregard food, clothing, and idle chatter. To have nothing but the sacred Dharma in one's thoughts, that is the wish-fulfilling jewel. Next is the introduction: 'Cutting through at once, recognizing self-nature directly, emerging from liberation,' these three are all contained herein. First, 'cutting through at once' means: leaving awareness (Tibetan: Rigpa) uncorrected, letting it go freely in all four directions and eight intermediate directions. Then carefully examine whether awareness exists in eight different forms in each direction. As a result, it is found that when focused on one direction, the other disappears; when one direction is clear, the other is empty. Observing the 'emptier' that empties, it is found that the emptier and the emptied are inseparable, and this awareness is clear and transparent. Because it cannot be expressed in words, it transcends the extremes of Madhyamaka (Sanskrit); because it cannot be conceived by the mind, it transcends the extremes of Mahāmudrā (Sanskrit); because it cannot be symbolized by examples, it even transcends the realm of Dzogchen (Tibetan). Completely and thoroughly liberated from its very nature, this is the ultimate instruction of 'cutting through at once'. Second, 'recognizing self-nature directly' means: in this way, in the awareness of 'cutting through at once,' everything is natural and unfabricated, and in this awareness, all the qualities of Samsara (Sanskrit) and Nirvana (Sanskrit) are completely present. In the essence of emptiness, the qualities of the Dharmakāya (Sanskrit) are present; in its uninterrupted self-radiance, the qualities of the Sambhogakāya (Sanskrit) are spontaneously perfect; and in the inseparable self-power of these two, all the qualities of the Nirmāṇakāya (Sanskrit) are completely present. Although these three appear different, they are essentially one, and are called the Svābhāvikakāya (Tibetan: Ngowo Nyid kyi Ku). Therefore, it has the nature of the four bodies being spontaneously accomplished. Therefore, the Dharmakāya has dual purity, paving the path on the basis of original purity through practice, and the non-dual awareness that the Lama introduces now is unique. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
